The Republican presidential candidate on stage wasted no time talking to Nikki Haley shortly after the fourth debate began.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has come out against Nikki Haley, claiming she is not a strong fighter for Republicans.
“You’ve got to be ready to stand your ground and you’ve got to be ready to beat these guys,” DeSantis began.
“You have another candidate here like Nikki Haley. He caves whenever the left comes after [her].”
DeSantis cited a Florida law on transgenderism that he described as restricting the “gender mutilation of minors” and argued that he was critical of the law.
Haley later said that DeSantis “continues to lie about my record” and explained that he had previously criticized Parents’ Rights in Education in Florida.
He pointed out that he had previously said that the law “doesn’t go far enough because it only talks about gender up to third grade.”
Shortly after the exchange, biotech entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy chimed in and criticized Haley.
“After you left the UN,” he said, “you actually … [joined] the Boeing board whose back you scratched for a very long time and then gave a foreign multinational speech like Hillary Clinton.”
“I think this is much more corrupt than I imagined when I entered politics.”

Haley brushed aside the attack and explained that she was proud of the work Boeing was doing, but left the board when they took the COVID-19 “bailout.”
“And in terms of donors supporting me, they’re just jealous, they wish they were supporting them,” Haley added of DeSantis and Ramaswamy to cheers.
Shortly after, Ramaswamy followed up, calling Haley a fascist.

“The only person more fascist than the Biden regime right now is Nikki Haley who thinks the government should identify every individual with an ID,” he said, referring to recent comments he made on social media.
“I love all the attention guys,” quipped Haley.
“What I’m saying is that social media companies need to show us their algorithms. I also said there are millions of bots on social media right now,” he said, referring to foreign enemies such as China, Russia and Hamas.

The Florida governor later supported Ramaswamy.
“Reel tape him saying, ‘I want your name,'” DeSantis interjected.
“He got serious blowback and understandably so because it would be a huge expansion of government.”
Haley has been rising in the polls in key early states and her campaign has claimed that she has momentum about six weeks out from the Iowa caucuses.
