‘RHOA’ Star Kenya Moore Says ‘Standstill’ Divorce Not Keeping Her From Dating

Fans of the hit show “Real Housewives of Atlanta” know her as a bright and spirited chick, popularly described as a combination of beauty and brains. Although her divorce is stalled, it’s open season on the streets, and the reality TV star isn’t shy about letting everyone know it.

Reality stars are down, open and ready to mingle. She said as much on the second episode of the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” reunion with Andy Cohen, per PEOPLE. “I’ve definitely done a few group dates and had people pursue me, but nothing serious yet,” she said, adding that she also went out with friends.

The former Miss USA also said that she feels lighter today, explaining that her business is doing better than ever. She later credits her energy and new persona as the reason people are seriously trying to hook her up with their single male friends. Moore notes that men are also trying to contact her, and it’s clear that she feels it.

Fans will recall that the 51-year-old filed for divorce from her husband of four years, Marc Daly, in 2021; however, it has been a back-and-forth game to reach a divorce settlement. Elsewhere on the reunion show, Moore, who shares daughter Brooklyn with Daly, talked about her divorce, describing the process as “at a standstill.” In his words:

“Resistance to divorce is not caused by alimony or child support. He didn’t ask for anything at this point. It just stalled. So until we get a trial date or resolve, it will still continue.”

The couple tied the knot in 2017 and filed for divorce for the first time after almost a year together in 2019. The estranged couple got back together in 2020 until the restaurant owner [Daly] confirmed that they had split a year later again in 2021.

The “Waiting To Exhale” actress isn’t afraid to be honest with her thoughts and opinions; this has been the source of the full content of the drama in this series. Still, The Blast shared that the 51-year-old is hoping to start over on an empty roster with everyone.

As the new season of “RHOA” approaches, it looks like followers of the series will witness a new persona from Moore. The model who joined the franchise in season five became a popular cast member thanks to her memorable feuds with some of the OG members like Nene Leakes, Phaedra Parks, Porsha Williams and Drew Sidora.

The former “Miss Michigan” wants to break out of the villain role and is ready to wave the white flag of peace to her fellow actors. In an interview with ET, the “Senseless” actor claimed that being a villain isn’t really his true nature and only plays the bad guy role after being thrown into it unfairly.

She added that she’s tired of playing mean and, moving forward, will be her most authentic self, choosing to focus on being the hair care owner she’s always been. He assured the audience that the upcoming series is great and ready for surprises.

The mother-of-one declared that she would be handing the evil baton to someone else while standing up for herself with dignity and grace, “It’s funny because I thought I was roped in for this villain role, and now it’s like, girl, just give it up the bolt to someone else.”

Adding that this new season is her reclaiming who she was before the divorce and the issues she went through. “I think what I try to think in my own life. This season just got back to who I was before. It was all fun, and I took back my power,” she said.
