Real Housewives of Orange County star Shannon Beador has officially been charged with DUI and hit and run after her September arrest for crashing her car into a Newport Beach home.
Law enforcement sources revealed at the time that he drove onto the property, “cut through” the house, and then parked his car in the middle of the road. Police arrived and found him to be visibly intoxicated.
Beador now faces up to a year in prison for his crimes.

According to court documents, obtained by The Blast, “RHOC” star Shannon Beador has been charged with DUI and hit-and-run following her September arrest for driving under the influence and crashing her car into a Newport Beach home.
Reports at the time revealed that he drove onto the property and “clipped” the house before returning to the road. Beador then parked his car in the middle of the road and was seen walking his dog when police arrived.
He allegedly tried to appear as if he was just walking his dog, but officers found him intoxicated, describing him as “looking wasted.”
After being approached by police, Beador was taken into custody, and his car was impounded for investigation.
Two of the charges against Beador are misdemeanors, and he faces up to a year in prison for his crimes.

Days after her arrest, Beador’s close friend, Jeff Lewis, revealed on his radio show that the reality TV star contacted him to say he was “embarrassed” and “embarrassed” by the incident and “accepts full accountability.”
He added, “I don’t think Shannon is an alcoholic. I think as a close friend of his, I think he’s going through a lot of personal struggles right now, and I think he may have become dependent on alcohol, but I don’t believe he’s an alcoholic.”
Beador’s arrest comes after a “RHOC” season in which he brought up a DUI arrest with his co-star Gina Kirschenheiter in 2019.

Just days before his arrest, Beador denied accusations from Kirschenheiter about his drinking habits. The 59-year-old defended himself in an interview with Vicki Gunvalson.
Beador criticized the “inaccurate” claims made about his alcohol consumption. He told US Weekly to “see someone else on the show this season who has had a lot to drink.”
Gunvalson, 61, chimed in, noting that the show promotes fun and alcohol but emphasizes the ability to control one’s intake. He explained, “The show, I hate to say it, promotes fun and a little alcohol, and we can control what we put in our bodies.”
He suggests that what is filmed is what the audience sees, especially the fun moments, adding, “It’s just when you shoot seven hours in a day and one [hour] of it or half an hour of it is rising at a high level, that’s what they’re going to show because that’s fun.”
