Emily Simpson is breaking her silence about her recent weight loss journey.
After undergoing liposuction and incorporating Ozempic – a drug commonly prescribed to manage type 2 diabetes – the TV personality opened up about her experience. In a refreshing display of transparency, especially after shutting down rumors that she used the drug, the “Real Housewives Of Orange County” star shed light on what really happened.

In a candid interview on SiriusXM’s Jeff Lewis Live, the attorney stated that the transformation began about eight months ago, following filming for the latest season of the hit reality show in November 2022.
Reflecting on her recent experience, Simpson admitted that she had let her self-care routine slip during the intense filming period on the show. In the words of the 47-year-old star:
“I think I was just working really hard for four months when we were filming, and I was eating too much, drinking too much, and not sleeping enough, not exercising.”

She revealed that after a publisher shared a photo of her struggling to recognize herself, it served as a wake-up call, prompting her to take action. Reflecting on that moment, she expressed how much it affected her, stating:
“It really depressed me. I know that I am gaining weight. I don’t like the way I look.”
Motivated to change, he underwent a comprehensive blood test that revealed health problems, including high cholesterol, low testosterone and a pre-diabetic condition. At this point, her doctor recommended she try Ozempic as a potential solution.
“So I did. I did that in December, for a month,” explained the mother of three, referring to her experience with it. The drug helped her break bad habits and become more careful with her food choices, giving her the motivation she needed. .
While on Ozempic, Simpson lost five to seven pounds and eventually stopped using it because of side effects, such as making her feel lethargic. The reality TV star also revealed that in January, she decided to undergo liposuction on her arms and a breast reduction. She expressed her satisfaction with the results, seeing a significant difference in her appearance.
Simpson’s revelation about her use of Ozempic comes just days after she addressed speculation from Instagram users about her use of the drug.
Following her post featuring her sons Luke and Keller, several commenters took the opportunity to mention the weight loss drug. A person asked, “How is the ozempik situation? [sic] out for you?” They also expressed sadness at the perception that she had to change her body temporarily, stressing, “I thought she was perfect before.”
