Although it was initially developed for the treatment of type 2 diabetes, Ozempic has received approval as a weight loss aid, and Fessler is not the first reality TV star to refer to using it.

Despite declaring himself a hypochondriac, the 55-year-old detailed his year-long journey on semaglutide — the active ingredient in Ozempic — which led to a significant weight loss of about 22 pounds.

He then deals with the unpleasant side effects of diabetes medication, revealing a hospital visit due to an affected bowel—a challenging situation he faced firsthand.

Addressing the drug’s side effects with Goldschneider, Fessler revealed his struggle with constipation, a common issue associated with Ozempic, which he initially chose to ignore.

In a funny twist, the reality TV star admitted to ignoring the signs during the latest episode of her “Two Jersey Js” podcast, highlighting her ability to indulge in less healthy food choices while still losing weight. The socialite confessed:

“After saying that, I noticed I was constipated, I didn’t do anything. I don’t take Miralax, which you take every morning, or any kind of stool softener. I didn’t go in a week, then it was a week and a half.”

Pausing mid-story, Fessler took responsibility, admitting his role in ignoring the warning signs before declaring, “I haven’t had a problem since.”

When “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” star publicly discussed her choice to use weight-loss drugs, Goldschneider expressed strong disapproval, citing concerns about the prevalence of the drug among more than half of the show’s cast.

The 47-year-old emphatically stated, “I am a vocal advocate for eating disorder recovery and a very strong opponent of semaglutides for losing the last 10 pounds.” He also explained that they never discussed this topic because of his friendship with Fessler.

However, Goldschneider highlighted another side effect, “muscle wasting,” prompting Fessler to admit to experiencing it. Concerned about his physical well-being, he revealed that he began regular doctor visits to monitor his muscle health.

Amid the challenges, the entrepreneur shared, “Physically, I feel better in clothes. When I’m not wearing clothes I look 90 because I’ve gained and lost more than 20 pounds in my life … so there’s a lot of skin that exists now when you lose muscle and fat.”
