Porsha Williams doesn’t “run away” from The Real Housewives of Atlantahe cleared up the rumor and was happy to finally do so.

Said the mother of a married man. “I didn’t run away,” he confirmed. “And I don’t think any of my followers who really know me would believe that I would walk away from the show for that,” she said of her exit from the Bravo reality show.
“I’ve dealt with a lot of tough stuff on the show,” he said of his nine seasons on the show. As for those who accused her of leaving so she could get married, that is also false. “I used to go there at the beginning of every season to shoot with the cameras on. So no, this has nothing to do with that,” she said of her marriage to Simon Guobadia.
Williams exited the show before the 14th season. There was speculation that she wasn’t coming back when she removed the “RHOA” tag from her social media bio. He also didn’t appear at events around town and was filming at the time.

Williams’ marriage and departure were only coincidental. “I’ve decided it’s time for me to step back at least six months before I tell any executive what I’m going to do – and long before I meet my now husband,” she told PEOPLE magazine.
It has more to do with how long he’s been on the show. “I’m 40 years old, I hit the 10-year mark on the show, and I really just had to reevaluate where I was and what I wanted in my life. So that’s where the decision came from.”

Williams didn’t take too long to take a break from TV. He is filming the third season The Ultimate Real Housewives Women’s Journey where he says he’s the only one who doesn’t come with any baggage.
“Think about it — I’m the only one on the show that’s not on the show,” he told the publication. “So I wasn’t talented at the time, I was like a real housewife, who just jumped on TV and woke up to these girls’ booze!”
Williams is in the cast alongside Leah McSweeney, Gizelle Bryant, Candiace Dillard-Bassett, Heather Gay, Whitney Rose, Alexia Nepola, and Marysol Patton. He described it as “like a fresh start.”
“I’m not connected to any of their current dramas, so there’s no baggage for me. It’s completely free and refreshing. I really enjoyed introducing myself to these girls and having some authentic moments with them. They get to know me and I get to know them without having to dig up some old tangles.”

When asked what her next plans are with the housewives universe and if they include returning as an Atlanta housewife, Williams didn’t shut it down. “It would be great if we could bring the RHUGT energy back to this show.”
Williams continued. “Hey, let’s let it all go. Let’s really get to know each other. Let’s dig deep and form real relationships with each other, and really have fun. Stop thinking about the camera. Have fun and be yourself.’ And I think if we do that, we’ll have a more positive and fun season.”
