The body of Riley Strain, a missing student from the University of Missouri, has reportedly been found two weeks after her disappearance.
According to reports, Nashville police confirmed the body of the 22-year-old man was pulled from the Cumberland River this morning.
News of Strain’s disappearance comes amid claims that he was kicked out of country singer Luke Bryan’s bar after allegedly being served too much alcohol.

On Friday morning, police announced news of the discovery of Strain’s body, with the Nashville Metropolitan Police Department taking to X (formerly Twitter) to state that an autopsy was pending, although there were no signs of trauma to his body.
They wrote, “BREAKING: Riley Strain’s body was recovered from the Cumberland River in West Nashville this morning, about 8 miles from downtown. No foul play-related trauma noted. Autopsy pending.”

follow NBC NewsPolice Chief John Drake said during a news conference that they were contacted around 7:28 a.m. by an employee at a nearby business who found the 22-year-old’s body after removing an object from the river.
After the body was removed from the water by the city fire department, the identity was later confirmed by the medical examiner’s office. The police chief stated that Strain was still wearing his shirt and other identifiable items on his body after being found.

The missing college student’s family has already been contacted about his body being found in the Cumberland River.
“I want to say to the family, my heart and prayers go out to all of you for this very unfortunate and tragic incident,” Police Chief Drake said during a press conference. “I also want to thank the community of Nashville and the community for the outpouring of support from the community in helping us find Mr. Strain.”
Because of Strain’s height and weight, police already had an idea when his body would turn up if he was in the Cumberland River. They estimate that he will appear between 14 and 20 days.
“It’s day 14 so we really expect to find it soon,” Drake said.

As we previously reported, Strain went missing on March 8 after allegedly being kicked out of singer Luke Bryan’s 32 Bridge Food + Drink in downtown Nashville. The student was traveling with his fraternity, Delta Chi, for the spring formal.
Luke Bryan Bar Reportedly Under Investigation For Overserving Strain

A week after Strain was reported missing, it was revealed that the bar he was kicked out of, Luke Bryan’s 32 Bridge Food + Drink, is being investigated for allegedly over-serving college students.
Serving alcohol to anyone who is clearly intoxicated is a violation of state law, according to the Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC), although there are no special rules governing escorting intoxicated patrons from establishments or offering any assistance in getting someone home.
“The violation is a class A misdemeanor. The TABC has opened an investigation into this matter to see if any violations have occurred,” the commission added, per Daily Mail.

Before the investigation began, police had already suggested Strain may have been served too much alcohol. Upon leaving the bar, Strain reportedly told his Delta Chin brothers that he would meet them back at their hotel. Unfortunately, when they got there, the group saw no sign of the 22-year-old.
Bar Luke Bryan Denies Over Riley Strain

Following allegations that Strain had consumed too much alcohol, Bryan’s bar quickly issued a statement denying the allegations.
TC Restaurant Group, which operates Bryan’s bar, said, “During Riley’s visit to Luke’s 32 Bridge, our records show he purchased and was served one alcoholic beverage and two waters. At 9:35 p.m., our security team made a decision, based on standards of conduct us, to escort him from the venue through our Broadway exit in front of our building. He was followed down the stairs with a member of his party. The individual with Riley did not exit and returned upstairs.”

“In our effort to assist the Metro Nashville Police Department’s Missing Persons investigation into Riley Strain, we proactively provided detailed information quickly following his visit to our business on March 8. This information included all security camera footage, photos of Riley at our establishment with stamp detail time, transaction records and staff accounts,” the group added, per HuffPost. “Additionally, we are proactively engaged in communication with the Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission and will continue to communicate and provide any records necessary to assist their ongoing investigation.”

Before Riley’s body was recovered from the Cumberland River, his credit card was found near the location by two women.
As we previously reported, Anna Clemdening and Brandy Baene were reportedly going through trash found along the river bank when they came across the student’s credit card.
Speak to NBC affiliated members WSMVClemdening said, “I don’t really know how we found it. I like to say stupid divine intervention — it just sat there.”
