Rimi continued her schooling at Bidya Bharati Girls’ High School, Kolkata in 1999. Later, she graduated from Calcutta University. According to Rimi, she was a shy girl since childhood. After graduating, she came to Mumbai with her mother to fulfill her desire to become an actress. As an Actor
After completing his studies, he moved to Mumbai with his mother and started giving auditions. After giving various auditions, she got a job in an advertisement for coca-cola, where she was seen opposite Aamir Khan.

Rimi worked in many music videos and later, she started getting offers for Bollywood films. Rimi worked with actors like Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan and Ajay Devgan. In 2003, he worked in the film Hungama co-starring Akshaye Khanna, Aftab Shivdasani, and Paresh Rawal.

In 2006, after the release of the film Golmal, Rimi Sen insulted the African community in an online interview. He Quote
