Rinosh George is an Indian rapper, composer, director and actor who rose to fame after his song I’m a Mallu and the film Nonsense. He is a contestant in the reality TV show Bigg Boss Malayalam 5 in 2023.

Rinosh George was born in 1992 (age 31; in 2023) in Ernakulam, Kerala, India. He was interested in music since childhood and used to sing gospel in church. He studied at Shanthiniketan High School, De Paul International Residential School, and Christ School in Bengaluru. He completed his pre-university at Krupanidhi Pre-University College, Bengaluru. He pursued a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism from Oxford College of Arts in Bengaluru from 2011 to 2014; however, he dropped out in his final year of graduation to pursue a career in music.

Music
Rinosh George started writing songs at a very young age. He used to watch songs on MTV during his childhood and liked Shaan’s songs and other singers. He started working as a professional DJ in 2009. He formed a band during his college days with two friends named Syed Faizan Ahmed and Syed Viqar Ahmed and participated in cultural programs. They were initially jeered by the crowd who also threw paper pellets at them; however, they soon fell in love with the trio’s songs. They participated in several parties after that and won many awards.

He recorded some of his songs while he was studying in college, made around 1000 CDs and distributed them for free in an effort to create a fan base. His first single was Believe (2012) which did not do well. He also worked as a vocal music teacher at ADON Institute Of Music, Bengaluru from June 2012 to December 2014. He released the Hindi song Meri Jaan and the international song Sunrise with American rapper BanG Gully and Bangladeshi rapper Shree Sen in 2014. He felt the need was strong enough to pursue a career in music during his final year of graduation, so he dropped out of college. He released several videos; however, the songs did not become popular.

He rose to fame with his song ‘This is Bengaluru’ which went viral and was viewed by more than 1.5 million people on YouTube by March 2023. The video was shot on the streets of Bengaluru and was loved by fans.
He worked as a voiceover artist and radio jockey at Timbre Media from January 2015 to September 2017. He was trying to find roles in Malayalam films when his friend and actor Paul Mathew advised him to sing songs in Malayalam to gain audience. from Kerala. He liked the idea, and in June 2016, he released his song ‘I’m a Mallu’ which became a huge hit and has gained cult status as a song for Malayali people and has been viewed by more than 9 million people on YouTube by March 2023. He writes about Malayali culture, food and lifestyle and tries to break stereotypes about Keralites.
He worked as a radio jockey at 101.3 Gold FM in Dubai, United Arab Emirates from February 2018 to September 2018 to support his family after which he returned to India to pursue a career as a singer. In October 2018, he gave a performance at a party named THARANG 2018 MG University. In November 2018, he released a song for Men’s grooming brand Beardo which also became very popular.
He released several hit songs such as Kalayullavante Cinema (2019), Love We’ll Find (2020), and Oh Machane (2023).
Movie
He made his acting debut in 2018 with the film Malayali Nonsense starring him and Shruthi Ramachandran in the lead roles directed by MC Jithin and produced by Johny Sagariga. He plays the role of a student named Arun Jeevan who is not interested in studies and is nicknamed Karut by his teachers. The film features BMX cycling and is one of the first films on this theme. Her role was well liked by fans and critics, and it was screened at the International Children’s Film Festival of Kerala 2019. She composed and sang the songs in the film, and the song Break Free was also a big hit.
