Following a career in modeling and theatre, Rishabh Sawhney made his acting debut with the period drama web series The Empire (2021) in which he played Babur’s brother Mehmood alongside Dino Morea, Kunal Kapoor, and Drashti Dhami. The show is streamed on Disney+ Hotstar.
Sawhney made his Bollywood debut with the action film Ariel Fighter (2024) in which he played the role of a terrorist. She shared the screen with actors like Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone, and Anil Kapoor. Sawhney’s shot in the film handling a machine gun and sparring with Hrithik Roshan stole the limelight.

- Rishabh Sawhney used to be chubby during his youth. He started working out towards the end of college. At the end of his schooling, he weighed 120kgs. With great determination, she reduced her weight to 58kg by the time she graduated. During his school days in New Delhi, he used to eat a lot of junk food. His food habits changed when he moved from New Delhi to Vellore, a small town in Tamil Nadu, which did not have any food chains then. In an Instagram post, explaining how she lost the weight, she said,
Vellore was a village and at that time there was no known food chain in Vellore and I didn’t really like messy food. Also, getting good food from restaurants was boring because it was too far and walking was the only way to get food and I was lazy so I stopped eating properly and started losing weight. Since I saw myself losing weight I took a look at hacks to lose weight so I started eating only dinner for about 6 months, no breakfast no lunch and whenever I’m hungry I always have a full bottle of water to fill up lol . I walk everywhere and use the stairs instead of the elevator.”
In the first semester, he had lost 30 kg and since he was getting thinner, he felt he didn’t have to stop. So he continued this trend for another 6 months and by the time he finished his first year, he had lost about 60 kg. Finally, he decided to compete in a male physique competition. He competed in two of them but then suffered a shoulder injury after which he was out for about 4-5 months. After recovering, he continued his bodybuilding and fitness journey.
