Ritviz was born as ‘Ritviz Srivastava’ in 1997 (age 23 years; as on 2020) in Pune City Maharashtra.

At the age of six, he started learning Khayal from his mother. Later, he trained under Uday Bhawalkar for Drupad. When he was in grade 11, he dropped out of school.

Career
At the age of 15, he decided to make his career in music. At the age of 17, after dropping out of school, he started working on music, and in 2014, he released his first EP “Vizdumb.”
Later, he was contacted by High Chai Recordings (a global bass music label based in the US), who wanted to release his song- ‘Mukti’ through their label.
After gaining global exposure at the age of 19, the artist’s management company, Only Much Louder (OML) asked him to join their label. In 2017, he was the winner of the Bacardi House Party Session. Speaking about it, he said,
I didn’t expect any of that. When sending applications to Bacardi House Party friends, it was one of those ‘lets-see-what-happens’ situations. Even after winning the session, I didn’t expect the incredible response I received from the crowd”
His single, ‘Udd Gye’ was handpicked by AIB and released with a music video by AIB ft. DJ Nucleya.
He released his first album ‘Dev’ in 2019.
Some of his hit songs are Barso, Jeet, Liggi, Chalo Chalein, Ved, and Thandi Hawa.
Controversy
In 2020, he accused the makers of “Pati Patni Aur Woh” (2019) of plagiarizing his song ‘Udd Gaye.’ Addressing the filmmaker, Ritviz wrote in his tweet,
I went to the theater to see a movie last month, just a normal night out with my folks. Half way through the movie. track played and that’s when it really hit me. I was listening to a song very similar to Udd Gaye. I’m pretty sure there are others like me, and in case you’re wondering if I was involved in the making of the song.”
