Explosion recently reported on Amy Robach and TJ Holmes’ months-long relationship that came to light over the weekend.
Robach and Holmes are now co-hosting the third hour of ‘GMA’ referred to as ‘GMA3.’
However, the network just decided to shut down both anchors until it can figure out what to do next.
According to reports, ABC News President Kim Godwin informed the staff on December 5, about the temporary absence of the lovers in ‘GMA3’.
He told ABC News employees during an editorial call on Monday that while Robach and Holmes did NOT violate any company policy, ABC News “wants to do what’s best for the organization.”
Robach & Holmes Temporarily Released
ABC News executives did not speak on the matter to the media.
Sources told DailyMail.com that Stephanie Ramos and Gio Benitez will host GMA3′ this week while ABC figures out how to deal with the PR nightmare.
“There is great confusion internally,” the source said. “ABC News executive Kim [Godwin] have taken them off the air while they deal with this internally.”

Furthermore, in a recently resurfaced audition tape from 2014, Holmes said she was “pro-marriage.”
Holmes was auditioning for “Entertainment Tonight” and said on tape, “Marriage gets a bad rap a lot of times. I’m a supporter of marriage. I want everybody to get married. I think everybody should and I think you better do that. .”
Holmes married his wife, Marilee Fiebig, in 2010.

Colleagues were spotted “canoodling” at a bar near ABC News in May.
Roberts Tells Them To “STOP IT!”

The insider revealed that Roberts pulled the two aside and basically told them to “Stop.”

When Roberts confronted them about the romance, Holmes reportedly denied it. He was allegedly so worried about the rumors affecting his career with ABC that he went to his superiors and hit them out himself.
“He was a journalist at the time, and he didn’t want Robin to think that of him. He went to [ABC brass] and preceded him to reject it because it was not true,” they said.
An additional source told the publication that Holmes went directly to former ‘GMA’ executive producer Michael Corn, because “it’s completely untrue, and it freaked them out. Amy and TJ’s friendship was affected when the rumors started.”

Holmes, Fiebig, Robach and Shune are reportedly close and will go on double dates.
