Rohit Bhardwaj is an Indian television actor and model. He is best known for playing the role of Yudhishthira in the popular Indian mythological TV show Mahabharat (2013-2014). He has a strong fanbase overseas. His Indonesian fans call him by the name Om Rohit Mulyono.

Rohit Bhardwaj was born on Sunday, 30 January 1983 (age 39 years; as of 2022) in Punjab, India. His zodiac sign is Aquarius. He did his schooling at Morden School, Noida. Later, he studied at DAV Centenary Public School, Noida. After completing his schooling, he went to study at the University of Delhi. Since childhood, he was inclined toward cinema and acting, and he would often watch films secretly. Later, he decided to follow his passion for acting and started giving auditions. After going through a lot of hardships, he finally got the role of a supporting character named Sukhi in the TV show Ranbir Rano (2008-2009), and after his first appearance in Ranbir Rano, he was offered many roles in multiple TV shows.

His father’s name is Vijay Bhardwaj, and his mother’s name is Indu Bhardwaj. He has an elder brother named Mohit Bhardwaj.
Rohit lost his mother in February 2021. He mourned over her death and said,
She suffered a cardiac arrest and I am still recovering from the loss. I’ve been shuffling between Mumbai and Delhi to spend time with my father, who is now all alone.”

In 2006, Rohit got married to Poonam Bhardwaj, and both were high school lovers. Some sources say that Poonam is a singer. They knew each other since childhood and were married to each other for 16 years. They have a daughter named Parthivi, who was born in 2011. Talking about his daughter, he said,
I pamper my daughter like hell and can’t think of life without her. She is my little angel.”
The couple filed for divorce in 2022 after a few marital disputes in their personal life. In 2017, things got worse when he returned from Indonesia. In an interview, he talked about this and said,
I am staying alone for the last four-five years. There were differences from the beginning, which kept escalating, especially after I returned from Indonesia. I tried to sort things out with my wife, but couldn’t save the marriage. It was marred by differences of opinion and compatibility issues. The divorce is in the process and should be through in two months.”
He further talked about his daughter, who lives along with her mother, and said,
I haven’t seen my daughter in two years. Maa chali gayi, aur daughter door ho gayi. I was going through emotional turmoil and went into a shell.”

In 2008, he made his television debut with “Ranbir Rano” on Zee TV.
After his debut in the TV industry, he acted in many TV shows such as ‘Baat Hamari Pakki Hai,’ ‘Na Bole Tum Na Maine Kuch Kaha,’ ‘Navya..Naye Dhadkan Naye Sawaal,’ ‘Mahabharat,’ and ‘Laal Ishq.’ Mahabharat became so popular that all the cast went to Indonesia to perform a play based on the show in Indonesia. Countless Indonesian fans appeared to watch their performance.
In an interview that he gave on the sets of Mahabharat, he said,
My plan of action was to go abroad for higher studies after graduation. I never imagined that one day I would act in a television serial and become a known face.”

“The New Eat Bulaga Indonesia” (2014-2015) is an Indonesian television show on which Rohit appeared as a judge and anchor. He also judged and performed on Bolly Star Vaganza in 2015. In Indonesia, he did stand-up comedy and also played the character of ‘Mr Bean.’ He performed the characters of almost all the kings of all regions in Indonesia.

- According to Rohit, it was not easy to make a place in the entertainment industry for him. In an interview, he talked about his journey as an actor in the entertainment industry and said,
After my graduation, I had three months of free time for soul searching. I wanted some kind of change and joined theatre after a friend advised me to take up acting. Those three months turned into three years and I am an actor now! I think it was bound to happen. It was part of destiny’s plan.”
- In an interview, Rohit talked about his role as Yudhishthira in Mahabharat which earned him a huge fan following, especially in Indonesia. He said,
I am overwhelmed and happy that I am being appreciated as Yudhishtir, finally, I feel that people can see Yudhishtir in me, I wanted it all to look real and as convincing as possible and thankfully I am being appreciated and acknowledged but at the same time, I don’t like my fans doing weird things for me like writing a letter from blood. It’s my humble request to all my fans there, please don’t hurt yourself ever.”

I have been getting a lot of offers post Mahabharat. In fact, I was recently offered an interesting comedy show which I was actually keen to do but then things on the money part did not materialize. I can’t compromise on the money part as an actor. Plus, everyone is making an excuse these days to actors that there is less budget because of COVID. I was also offered Bigg Boss a few years ago but I didn’t do it because woh mere bus ka nahi hai. I want to save my personal life. I am scared of doing Bigg Boss.”
- In an interview, Rohit revealed that his father was sceptical about his decision of making a career in acting; however, his elder brother supported his decision. He said,
My father is everything to me. He never wanted me to get into an acting career and because of that, I used to go for the auditions without informing him. On the other hand, my elder brother always supported me in my acting career.”
