Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has vowed that if he is elected to the White House, he will revoke the visas of international students who support Hamas terrorists.
DeSantis, 45, was outraged by the reaction of university students to the Israel-Hamas War.
“Before the blood was dry on the massacred Israelis, you saw people in our own country on college campuses coming out and protesting and cheering on the terrorists of Hamas,” the Republican said at an event in Iowa Friday night.
“Any foreign student with a visa who is out there praising Hamas, when I am president I will cancel their visa and I will send them back to their country of origin.”
He also supported businesses that had walked out and said they would not hire students who voiced anti-Israel views.
He told The Megyn Kelly Show he “wouldn’t hire any of those people,” but was more concerned about what was happening inside the walls of the US education system.
“What’s going on in American universities these days?” he questioned in the show.

This week, an NYU student and a teenager on the Upper East Side were seen tearing down a poster with an image of Israel taken hostage by Hamas in the October 7 surprise attack.
Several college students have also been seen taking part in pro-Palestinian rallies, including a Cornell professor who said he was “delighted” by the attack – before apologizing.

DeSantis said students did not do this during World War II when Japan attacked Pearl Harbor and said a “disease” has spread through modern college campuses, which are plagued by a “toxic culture.”
The 2024 candidate’s remarks mirror those of Republican Senator Marco Rubio, who is trying to fast-track a resolution to revoke the visas of foreigners living in the US who support the terrorist group Hamas or its allies.
Florida Congressmen are asking the Senate to approve the deportation of those visa holders.
“America is the most generous country on earth, but we cannot allow foreigners who support terrorist groups like Hamas and march in our streets calling for ‘intifada’ to enter or live in our country,” Rubio told Fox News.

Senator Tom Cotton of Arkansas has also called for similar measures to be taken.
Former President Donald Trump has also called for “strong ideological screening of all immigrants” as well as proposed a travel ban.
More than 1,400 Israelis have been killed and more than 4,300 have died in the Gaza Strip since the start of the fighting. Thousands more have been injured.
Two American hostages were released by Hamas this week.
The mother and daughter duo were taken to a military base in Israel to be reunited with their families.
More than a dozen Americans remain unaccounted for in the country.
