Meet Tracey Horen Sexton, Late Wife of Comedy Star Ron Sexton
Indianapolis comedian and radio personality Ron Sexton was married to his wife Tracey Horen Sexton at the time of his death. They were high school sweethearts and went to prom together. Throwing up some photos, Tracey wrote in a February 2017 post, “Been dating this guy for 29 years! 1988 was a long time ago!.”
The couple finally married in August 1994. On their 21st wedding anniversary, Tracey wrote, “21 years of marriage…it hasn’t been easy, but it’s been so worth it! I love you. I love our children. I love our life. Happy Anniversary! ps i deserve a prize.
Ron, the better known radio host and comedian BOB & TOM show audience member as “Donnie Baker,” has died. On Saturday morning, Sexton’s family posted on his official Facebook page to share the news of his death.
“It is with great sadness that we inform everyone that Ron Sexton passed away yesterday. He’s Donnie Baker to most of you, but Ron and Dad to us. Please respect our privacy at this time and pray for our family,” the post said. Tom Griswold on “The BOB & TOM Show” on Twitter claimed that Ron was gone on Friday in Ohio while doing his stand-up comedy show.
Ron, an Indianapolis native, has always had a passion for baseball and comedy. He was a baseball analyst for his school radio station while in high school. Sexton’s Donnie Baker made his television debut in 2005 on “The Bob & Tom Show” with a story about a yacht he seems to be selling all the time.
He also often uses the catchphrase “State law!” and “I swear to God” while on screen. In addition to doing impressions of famous people, Sexton also provided the voices for cartoon characters including Floyd the Trucker and Kenny Tarmac.
