Ronnie’s cause of death was revealed a week after his tragic passing. The actress died at the age of 62, with the Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll expressing her grief through her Instagram handle.

According to a report by Page SixThe Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s office revealed that Ronnie died of “complications” of colon cancer.

He also had atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease, which is the accumulation of cholesterol plaques in the artery walls, blocking blood flow. The manner of his death was reported as natural.

After the death of her son last week, the “What’s Love Got To Do With It” singer took to social media to mourn and express her grief.

Tina, 83, shared a black and white photo of herself with her eyes closed on her Instagram page and wrote the caption, “Ronnie, you left the world too soon. In sadness, I close my eyes and think of you, my beloved child.”

Ronnie starred in the 1993 video for “What’s Love Got To Do With It,” which was based on his mother’s true story. Along with his acting and music career, he worked as a real estate broker in Los Angeles, California, before he graduated.

She was born in October 1960 to Tina and her ex-husband, Ike Turner.

The late Ronnie married French media personality, Afida in 2007. According to Online RadarAfida had a strained relationship with her late husband’s mother, Tina, after she accused her of not helping her son financially when he was in need.

The French singer previously hinted on social media that cancer was the cause of his death, while he praised her as an “amazing soul” and a “true angel.”

“Ronnie was very very sick in 3 weeks with bloody cancer,” he added. He revealed that Ronnie battled cancer for three weeks in his honor and also spoke about how angry he was at the sad situation.

“I did my best until the end this time I couldn’t save you. I have loved you for 17 years, this is very very bad and I am very angry. This is your tragedy with your brother Craig and your father Ike Turner and Aline rest in heaven… So unfair.” He said in his post.

Despite being married for a long time, Ronnie and Afida were not blessed with children.

The Grammy Award-winning singer suffered a similar loss when her eldest son, Craig, committed suicide in 2018.

Craig died of a fatal gunshot wound to himself and was pronounced dead at his home in California at the age of 59.

Tina had her first son when she was only 18 and shared him with Raymond Hill, who was a saxophonist. Craig ended up being adopted by Tina’s ex-husband, Ike. In an interview with Gayle King on CBS News, The Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll revealed that she believes Craig killed himself because he was lonely.

She said, “I think Craig is lonely, that’s what I think really makes him more than anything else,” noting that he has images of him smiling and feeling like he’s finally in a happy place.
