Rooprashmi started her acting career by first appearing in the Zee TV comedy show Chi and Me alongside Pallavi Gupta and Akshay Anand.

Rooprashmi played the role of Chandra in the Hindi soap opera Banoo Main Teri Dulhann, aired on Zee TV in 2008-09. In 2009, Rooprashmi appeared in the soap opera Na Aana Is Des Laado as Sunita. The series was aired on Colors TV and produced by Shyamashis Bhattacharya.
