Death
On March 26, 2023, Ruchismita Guru, a singer and actress from Odisha, was found dead at her uncle’s house in Sudpara, Balangir district, Orissa. His body was found hanging from the ceiling fan. According to his father, he often struggles with depression when he does not get job opportunities. The police report that her mother had stated that she had an argument with Ruchismita over the preparation of aloo paratha.
“I had asked him to cook ‘aloo paratha’ at 8 pm, but he said he would prepare it at 10 pm. On this matter, we fight. Earlier, he tried to kill himself several times,” said the deceased’s mother.
Ruchismita allegedly has a strained relationship with her family because of an affair. In addition, her mother revealed that the actress had tried to commit suicide before. Bolangir town police station was informed and sent a team to the location where they took the body. The body was sent to Bhima Bhoi Medical College and Hospital for post-mortem.
