He did his schooling from Asha Modern School, Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh. He did Honors in English from Mehr Chand Mahajan DAV College in Chandigarh. In 2018, he enrolled for a master’s degree in Music at the University of Mumbai. At the age of six, he began to study music. For six years, he trained under Nidhi Narang of the Agra Gharana.

In 2007, he competed in a reality TV show, Bhajan Samrat, which aired on Sadhana TV; he excelled to the top 6 contestants in the show. He won many state level singing competitions. In 2011, he became the national level winner of the singing competition by Kumpulan Sangam Kala.

- Rupali is also known as ‘Swar Kokila’ of Saharanpur.
- When he was six years old, he went to the temple with his mother. There, he was inspired by his mother to sing bhajans (devotional songs) and sang bhajans himself in temples. Seeing her daughter sing, her mother suggested her father, let their daughter study music. At first, his father hesitated; because there was no one from a musical background in their family, but finally, he gave in.
- Besides singing, he is also a good dancer. In 2008, she also participated in the dance reality TV show, Chak De Bachche on Channel 9X.
