The hit competition show “RuPaul’s Drag Race,” is pulling out all the stops for its biggest season yet. The acclaimed reality show broke the internet with the launch of its new season promo and “meet the queens” video.
“Drag Race” Season 15 features a lineup of sixteen incredibly talented drag queens, the largest to date, ready to battle it out for the title of America’s Next Drag Superstar. To add to the incredible hype of the new season, pop music sensation Ariana Grande has been announced as a guest judge for the show’s premiere episode, which airs on January 6, 2023.

Grammy award-winning artist Grande has been announced as a guest judge for the new season premiere episode of “RuPaul’s Drag Race.”
MTV announced that the “Side To Side” singer will appear as a judge for the show’s double premiere episode alongside host RuPaul and other main judges Michele Visage and Ross Matthews.
Grande’s appearance on the show’s 15th season will mark her second time as a “Drag Race” guest judge. The star previously appeared in season 9 in 2015, so her return is highly anticipated by fans. The singer’s song is also one of the most lip-synced.

Grande’s return as a guest judge is something “Drag Race” fans have been asking for, considering how much the artist has grown since her last appearance.

Along with the reveal of the season 15 cast came the news that the hit tv show will make a new home on MTV after airing on VH1 for five years. “Drag Race” has also revealed a major expansion for the coming year, with a new international edition of the show confirmed.
Brazil, Germany and Mexico will get their own version of the popular show. Fans can also look forward to a new all-star edition called “Global All Stars,” which is expected to feature various drag queens from international iterations of competing shows. The new star-studded edition will reportedly air exclusively on Paramount+.

“RuPaul’s Secret Celebrity Drag Race,” a version of the show that features celebrities competing for a charity of their choice, has also been renewed for a third season.
Per Diversitya statement from Chris McCarthy, president and CEO of MTV Entertainment Studios and Paramount Media Networks, read, “With the global expansion of ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race,’ we are thrilled to bring the franchise into three new Paramount+ territories — Germany, Brazil and Mexico — and are thrilled that ‘RuPaul’s Secret Celebrity Drag Race’ is returning for a third season with our partners at VH1/BET.”
‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’ Season 15 Raises Prize Cash… In a Big Way

For a variety of reasons, the upcoming season of “Drag Race” is already set to be the biggest yet. Apart from its huge cast of 16 queens, the show has revealed a tantalizing increase in prize money.
Per Diversity, the winner of “Drag Race” will take home a cool $200,000. This is double the amount of previous seasons, except for season 14, which awarded the winner $150,000.
Season 15 will begin airing January 6 on MTV and will feature a talented lineup of drag queens, including drag legend and Miss Continental 2012 winner Sasha Colby.
