Actor Alec Baldwin has made a fan out of child star Easton Malcolm, who he worked with on the set of the movie “Rust” at the Yellowstone Film Ranch in Montana.
Filming was supposed to wrap up on the troubled production set later this month, and it looks like Easton has already completed his scenes. However, it sounds like he has memories of working with the “30 Rock” cast that will last a lifetime.

Just a few hours ago, the “Beetlejuice” actor took to Instagram to share a photo of himself standing in a “Rust” costume next to a boy, Easton Malcolm, and his mother.
Alec was still wearing his signature beard, but it looked like his costume had been cleaned up. The last time he was filmed on the set of “Rust”, he was dragged to a gallows and a gunny sack was placed over his head. Other photos also revealed that he had suffered a gunshot wound to his abdomen.
Luckily, there was no fake blood splattered on her costume today, allowing the child star to pose next to the actress. “Saying goodbye to my co-star EASTON MALCOLM was not easy,” Alec wrote in the caption. “Thank you, Brett, for sharing him with us. We love you, Easton.”

The woman in the photo is author and actress Brett Ashley McMillan, mother of Easton Malcom. He was one of the first to comment on the post, writing, “Thanks, Alec. When Easton said to you, ‘You have my heart,’ I melted.
“Your kindness and sincerity in taking care of my son while he was filming with you, will never be forgotten,” he continued. “You are a great man and Easton Malcolm I adore you! Please come back and visit your new family in Montana!”

“He seems so genuine and a good person. Love Alec!!” commented a fan. “Outside! My son fell so easily into this friendship and Alec supported and cheered him along the way,” replied Brett.
“Alec is a nice guy in person. Few celebrities are like themselves on screen, Alec is a great guy,” another follower chimed in. “Totally agree,” replied Brett, adding two red heart emojis to his comment.

Just a day earlier, the 65-year-old actress took to Instagram to share a photo of herself posing with Easton for a photo shoot. It looked like they were standing outside the trailer, with Alec dressed only in a gray t-shirt. Easton wore a “Rust” costume and lifted his bangs off his forehead with one hand.
“With Easton Malcolm. Brad Pitt is next. I’m not kidding you,” Alec wrote in the caption. Brett, Easton’s mom, also shared the photo on her Instagram page, adding, “So proud of my son, Easton! He worked really hard and now he has a new friend and supporter, Alec.”
A fan asked, “Would you cast your son in a movie?” to which Alec Baldwin immediately replied, “No.”
Alec Baldwin Pays Tribute To Gordon Lightfoot In His ‘Rust’ Costume
Apparently Alec was still filming when he heard the news that Gordon Lightfoot, the Canadian singer and songwriter, died on May 1st. The folk musician, known for such hits as “The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald” and “Sundown,” died at the age of 84 at Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto of natural causes, according to CNN.
Baldwin took to Instagram to share a two minute and forty second video captioned simply, “Rest in Peace Gordon Lightfoot” as he recalled his memories of the late singer. Many fans also shared their condolences and their own experiences growing up listening to his music.
“It’s a strange thing that Canadian talent is not always brought to the United States. Good luck you got to meet and talk to him!” commented a fan. “Condolences to Gordon Lightfoot’s family and may he rest in peace. His music is a big part of our lives!”

“Gordon Lightfoot was my father’s favorite musician; so much so that I associate Gordon’s voice with my father. His music was a big part of my childhood soundtrack,” wrote another follower. “We had the privilege of seeing him in concert once.”
“My dad passed away from cancer three years ago… The music we listened to the most at the end was Gordon… I like to think he’s saying hi to Gordon now and sharing how much he appreciates his music with him,” they continued. “RIP Mr. Lightfoot.”
