According to Mayo Clinic, “Cardiomyopathy is a disease of the heart muscle that makes it harder for the heart to pump blood around the body.” The website states that the disease “can lead to heart failure.” The famous entertainer was hospitalized in St. John’s Medical in Los Angeles when he died.
