Ryan Seacrest recently announced he is leaving “LIVE With Kelly and Ryan” after nearly six years. It was also announced that Kelly Ripa’s husband and “Riverdale” star Mark Consuelos will join his wife as the new co-host.
Since this is Seacrest’s last week on the morning talk show, he decided to say goodbye to the “LIVE” family by hosting a farewell dinner.

The “American Idol” host hosted a farewell dinner for the entire “LIVE With Kelly and Ryan” cast and crew. During dinner, Seacrest got up and made a toast, thanking everyone for their support and for allowing him to be a part of the “LIVE” family.
“For those of you who can’t see me in the back, I’m standing up now,” Seacrest joked to begin his speech. “Welcome to this evening, I am very happy to see our ‘LIVE’ family and our family,” he continued.
“There is no other place in our business like a ‘LIVE’ show,” he added as the venue erupted in applause.
The morning talk show host went on to list things he would miss, including the iconic “red herring”, the Monica Mangin segment and the Halloween show.
Fans loved her speech, which was shared on Instagram, as many called it a class act. “Drop the mic, class act from start to finish! ♥️,” one user wrote while another read, “Class act. Hardest working man in the business, apparently.”
As a third commented, “Class act! You will be greatly missed! Good luck in all your endeavors! I can’t wait to hear you get married and have kids! You’re going to have a great day; love how you and Flora are doing!”

Ryan Seacrest announced he was leaving the show in an Instagram post, shared on February 16, 2023 “I will miss my work wife and all the laughs we shared,” he captioned several Instagram photos of himself and his Live co-host, Kelly Ripa, over the years. “When I signed up to host Live in 2017, it was supposed to be for 3 years, but I loved the job and working with Kelly so much that I extended my time and last year I decided to stay for one more final season. . I’m grateful to be able to share a cup of coffee with our audience every day, one of the best parts of the gig.”
“I’ll be transitioning from Live this Spring to filming American Idol season 21 in LA, continuing my radio show on KIIS-FM and Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Night, and devoting my summer to opening three more Ryan Seacrest Foundation Studios at the hospital children across the country,” he continued to write. “I can’t wait to return to guest host in the future and Kelly, I promise to share photos of food, eggs and olive oil with you forever. And congratulations to my brother Mark, please makeover my dressing room!”
Mark Consuelos will take over as the new co-host of “LIVE” next week.
