In 2020, Sadia Khateeb marked her debut with the film Shikara where she played the role of Shanti, who is a medical student in Jammu and Kashmir. In the film, she married a professor who was a Kashmiri Pandit. The film depicts the love story of this Kashmiri Pandit couple during the migration of Kashmiri Pandits from the Kashmir Valley in the 1990s. Soon after the film’s release, her performance in the film garnered praise; however, the film failed at the box office.

In June 2022, she was cast in the film Raksha Bandhan, which is a comedy drama film. The film stars Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar. The story of this film is based on the love and sacrifice of an older brother towards his four younger sisters. Sadia Khateeb plays Akshay Kumar’s sister in the film along with other actors Sahejmeen Kaur, Deepika Khanna, Sadia Khateeb, and Smrithi Srikanth.

A few weeks later, it was officially announced that she is playing the role of ‘Shanti’ in the film Shikara opposite Aadil Khan.
