Sai Chandu’s death has shocked everyone. He died when he was still a child. Sai suffered a heart attack and died on 29 June 2023, while receiving treatment at a private hospital in Hyderabad. According to accounts, he was with his family members at his farmhouse on Wednesday and spent the day there. He developed chest problems late at night and was taken to the Care Hospital in Hyderabad, where doctors declared him brought dead.
CM Chandra Shekhar Rao expressed his condolences on the sad demise of the folk singer. He described Sai’s death as a great loss to the Telangana community as they lost a most humble vocalist and also a great musician. CM Shekhar Rao expressed his condolences and vowed to extend all possible help to the bereaved families. BRS President KT Rama Rao, TPCC President A. Revanth Reddy, Rajya Sabha Member J. Santosh Kumar, and other BRS Ministers and officials mourned Chandu’s death and praised his activism.
