The “Frida” star appeared in the sixth season of “Black Mirror,” in an episode titled “Joan Is Awful.” In the episode, a woman named Joan, played by Annie Murphy, learns that her life has been turned into a TV show. Salma Hayek not only plays the fictional Joan, but her interpretation as well.
In a recent interview with Radio Times, Salma said that the episode gave her “a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to play an interpretation of myself.” He went on to say, “It’s like I’m creating an alter ego where I can do the most disgusting, disgusting things that you would never do in real life… and get permission to do them.”

Series creator Charlie Brooker told Tudom.com that he plans to “surprise” viewers with a sixth season. “It should be a series that can’t be easily defined, and can keep reinventing itself,” he said. “So partly as a challenge, and partly to keep things fresh for me and the audience, I started this season deliberately changing some of my own core assumptions about what to expect.”
