Salma Hayek Hilariously Demands Babysitting Fees From Ryan Reynolds After Wrexham Win

Salma Hayek wants a proper payment from Ryan Reynolds now that he is the co-owner of a successful football team.

The sensational actress needs little introduction as one of the most famous and celebrated female entertainers in history. Given the successful launch of his Mexican vibe in Hollywood, it’s no wonder the 56-year-old has earned the respect and love of his peers.

Among those who adore the “Frida” star is the Canadian heartthrob and his beautiful wife, Blake Lively. The pair have a close relationship involving their families, making it easy for the Coatzacoalcos native to tease the “Deadpool” actor about unpaid child care charges.

In a recent Instagram Story update, the “Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard” actress playfully called out her co-stars for failing to pay child care charges. Sharing a throwback image of herself at the actor’s house, the telenovela alum looked radiant in the makeup-free post.

The photo shows the “From Dusk To Dawn” star smiling brightly at one of the “Green Lantern” actor’s daughters, who he expertly cradles on his hip. With his free hand, the 56-year-old stirs the contents of a large pot on the gas.

As she multitasked in the kitchen, Reynolds tried to get her daughter’s attention by clapping in the background. Below this sweet image is a screenshot of the Saturn Award winner’s broadcast, where he celebrated his Welsh football club, Wrexham AFC, being promoted to the Football League.

Not one to miss an opportunity for a laugh, the Canadian entertainer reshared the “Puss In Boots” star’s post along with the hilarious comment: “Your 80 dollars is in the mail. I swear, @salmahayek.”

Eighty dollars is peanuts compared to the success of the Welsh football club star “Free Guy”. At the weekend, the skies were clear for the actor and fellow Wrexham team co-owner Rob McElhenney.

According to CNN, it was a night to remember at the Racecourse in North Wales after the Welsh club secured promotion to the Football League. The team beat Boreham Wood 3-1 on 22 April, securing the National League title.

Their victory also marked their first promotion after a 15-year absence. Wrexham were relegated to the National League in April 2008, but the club received a major overhaul after Hollywood veterans took over in 2021.

Commenting on the club’s impressive performance, Reynolds told reporters after the match that the world could finally see his team’s potential. “I’m not sure I can process what happened tonight. I’m still a little speechless,” the actor began.

“One thing that played over and over in my head was at the beginning; people say ‘Why Wrexham, why Wrexham;’ This is why Wrexham, what’s happening now, is why,” the 46-year-old said proudly.

On the other hand, his business partners say that Wrexham’s success in the National League signifies the success of its owners and the Welsh community.

“I think we can hear how he feels about the city, and that’s what’s most important to us — I think it’s a cathartic moment for them,” McElhenney explained. “For us to be welcomed into their community and to be welcomed into this experience was the moment of my life.”

After his club’s National League game against Boreham Wood, Reynolds celebrated Wrexham’s victory on his Instagram page with a carousel of images. The first image shows the co-owners posing on the field with the championship trophy.

McElhenney held the award for a moment while the “Red Notice” star happily kissed the commemorative object. Another image captured the stadium engulfed in red smoke as hundreds of fans flooded the pitch in celebration.

There were also photos of the Canadian actor posing with fans, including an unidentified man receiving what appeared to be the entertainer’s Deadpool gloves. Below the slideshow, the 46-year-old posed with Wrexham striker Paul Mullin, who scored twice against Boreham Wood.

Actor Paul Rudd was also captured in the photo dump, captioned by the Hollywood Walk of Fame with his hilarious caption. “Everything I own smells like champagne, beer and weed,” the TV personality began.

“I’m still between laughing and sobbing. This town and this sport is one of the most romantic things on earth,” Reynolds admitted. “Thank you, @wrexham_afc.”
