Salma Hayek Recalls ‘Disastrous’ Memories Of First Kiss

Salma Hayek is the dream girl of many. At 56 years old, she has a body and face to die for and her fan base just keeps growing. But recently, she recalled how her first kiss turned from a romantic dream into a near nightmare, and it showed people just how “sweet” Hayek really is.

Salma Hayek’s First Kiss Everything was HONEY Before Disaster Strikes

Salma Hayek recently chatted with “W Magazine” talking about how far she’s come in Hollywood and how, she also overcame some of her fears, starring in “Black Mirror.”

He remembered his first kiss, which was unforgettable, for more than romantic reasons. His first kiss happened in Coatzacoalcos, Hayek’s “small town” in Mexico and the “Eternals” actor recalled, “I wanted a good taste, so I kept putting honey on my lips. And then I said, ‘What does it taste like?’ And he said, ‘Like honey.'”

This might have been the perfect kiss story, had Hayek not fallen into a literal honey trap. He continued, “Now but it’s a cliché—that’s what they say. And I continued to put honey [on] my lips, and I have an ant infestation in my bedroom.”

Since ants love honey and don’t like sampling human flesh, especially if it’s as delicate as Salma Hayek’s lips, they basically crawl all over her body and bite her lips. Said the 56-year-old man, “I burned my mouth. Something started [really] romance turned out to be quite a disaster.”

He also added, crudely, “In Mexico, we eat ant eggs fried in a special way. But live ants, it’s a different matter.”

All Hayek deserves is sun, water and love, right?

Overcoming His Fear of Snakes & Horror Movies

One thing we don’t see Hayek doing is horror movies, and the reason is simple. Said the actor, “I was very afraid of something scary. I don’t watch, because then I don’t sleep.”

So when he was offered “Black Mirror” Hayek had to pull up his socks and watch some dystopian episodes. After he discovered that he liked the show, he finally said yes and the set was like a meta storyline. Hayek plays a version of himself, an actor playing a version of an AI-written character, created by “Schitt’s Creek” star Annie Murphy.

It premiered on Netflix on June 15 and in a surprising move, Hollywood itself is struggling due to the SAG-AFTRA strike which is also hoping to tackle the looming horrors of AI in real life.

Of course, this isn’t the first time Hayek has had to overcome her fears for work, given her small but iconic role in “From Dusk Till Dawn.”

Hayek recalled that it was a very small part and she only had to wear a bikini. He didn’t want to do it, because he had to dance with a snake he was phobic about but needed the job, so he did it.

Another thing that scares him is that it’s a bit of a horror movie, and he avoids seeing all the actors wearing their prosthetic monster masks as he goes from his trailer to the set. He admitted, “I know it’s a prosthetic, but it would shock me. I was shocked by my own mask when I turned into a monster and I saw [myself] in the mirror.”

What surprised her was the sheer pop culture moment she became in that bikini dance, “I was really surprised when my five minutes on screen became so memorable and people are still talking about this movie.”

We are not surprised at all!

Wearing Hugo Boss For First Red Carpet Wasn’t “CHOICE”

Hayek first appeared on screen in a Mexican telenovela before trying his luck in Hollywood. After a small part in “Mi Vida Loca” in 1993, she rose to fame when director Robert Rodriguez cast her in “Desperado” alongside Antonio Banderas.

For her first red carpet, Hayek knew no one but someone at Hugo Boss. Today’s designers would give an arm and a leg to dress her but back then, she had to show up in men’s suits, explaining, “I don’t have any connections. The only connection I had was with someone I knew at Hugo Boss, so I wore men’s suits because no one else gave me anything to wear.”

Then again, he would look good in a potato sack, or a towel!
