Mexican-American actress and film producer Salma Hayek has revealed details of the moments leading up to her lap dance scene with Channing Tatum in “Magic Mike: Last Dance.”
Hayek, who previously mentioned how physically demanding the dance scene was, has now added that Tatum “almost killed it” while performing the lap dance.
The “House of Gucci” actor also had words of praise for Tatum’s dancing skills, pointing out that he’s getting better and better at it.

Hayek, during a recent appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!,” said her furious lap dance scene with Tatum almost took a turn for the worst as she claimed the “21 Jump Street” actor “almost killed her.”
The actor explained that there were scenes that did not make the final cut of the film. According to him, he was upside down with his legs left “dangling somewhere.” Hayek pointed out that in that position, he lost his way and did not do what he should have, adding that an accident almost happened.
Hayek later explained that what he feared at the time was a wardrobe malfunction because his pants were starting to come off, and he couldn’t remember if he was wearing underwear.
“Channing was holding my pants, but I was so worried because my pants were gone, and I can’t remember if I had any underwear on at this point,” she shared. “So, instead of putting my hands to protect my head, I just held my pants. He was like, ‘Put your hands up,’ and I was like, ‘No, no, no, no.'”
Hayek added, “Everybody came in and kind of took me away from him, and he said, ‘What’s wrong with you?’ I said, ‘What’s wrong with me? You almost killed me!'”

Right before the “Desperado” actor recounted his near-death experience with Tatum to Kimmel, he noted that it was a challenging task to do the dance scene in the first place.
Kimmel teased, “he joked all over your tatum, he raised you…” Before asking him if it was interesting. He answered in the affirmative, saying it was but pointing out that it was also challenging.
Hayek, 56, previously also explained to Entertainment Tonight that the dance scene was challenging. “It’s very physically demanding,” he told the news outlet. “Oh my gosh. You’re just waiting to see. It’s just complicated.”

“No, no, not really,” he said before continuing to praise Tatum for his incredible dancing skills. “I mean, if you want to start something, why not Channing?” He added.
Hayek said that he deserves a dance from “the best dancers” because he has played a stripper in many films before, and now he just has to “sit back and enjoy it.”

Tatum, 42, in his appearance on the “Kelly Clarkson Show,” revealed that the fitness program he had to go through to prepare for the role was quite difficult, and he had to starve himself.
She explained to Clarkson that she was hesitant to star in the film because she felt her body was not in the best shape.
“It’s hard even if you exercise to be in that kind of shape,” he said, per New York Post. “You have to starve yourself.” She continued, “I don’t think when you’re that skinny, it’s actually healthy for you.”
