Salma Hayek’s marriage to François-Henri Pinault is not as romantic as we thought!
The sensational actress needs no introduction as one of the most influential Latina actresses in Hollywood. With her captivating figure, timeless beauty and skill, the Coatzacoalcos native remains a worldwide phenomenon at the age of 56.
Despite her outstanding qualities, the “Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard” star has some weaknesses. This includes her fear of marriage, a phobia that her loved ones overcame by proposing to her husband in a surprise ceremony.
Salma Hayek Needs ‘Intervention’ To Marry Her Husband François-Henri Pinault
When Hayek tied the knot with Pinault on Valentine’s Day in 2009, fans thought it must have been the most romantic event ever. However, the Latina goddess recently revealed the truth behind her court marriage.

During a cover interview for Glamor Magazine, the “Frida” actress revealed that she had no idea about her marriage to the French fashion mogul. The TV personality was caught unawares when his family “dragged” him to the location.
“I didn’t even know I was going to get married that day,” the entertainer admitted. “It was like an intervention. I don’t think I ever told this story. No, they just took me to court. My parents, my brother, they all hurt me. I’m phobic about marriage.”
The Academy Award nominee stated that he was “nervous” while having lunch with his in-laws following court business. While Hayek praised her mother-in-law for being a great host, the 56-year-old noted that she had “no choice” in the event. Also, saying “no” doesn’t feel like a possible option.
“It’s because I’ve said yes to the wedding, but I’m not actually going to show up that day or do it,” the Latina heartthrob said. “And then after that, I said, ‘Oh, it’s okay. I don’t feel any different.’ And then a little later, I said, ‘Okay, this is pretty interesting.’ And he was like, ‘Can we have a party now?’”
According to Pinault’s wishes, the married couple held a more lavish ceremony a few months later, better than their court ceremony. Despite Hayek’s fear of marriage, the 56-year-old seems to be killing it as a wife with more than a decade of domestic bliss.
After 14 wonderful years together, the couple has a 15-year-old child named Valentina Paloma. The “Desperado” actress serves as a wonderful stepmother to the Kering group CEO’s three children from a previous relationship.

However, the Emmy Award did not achieve a perfectly blended life with herself and credits Pinault as the man of her dreams. “I married a very supportive man, who saw things in me that I never saw in myself,” said the Coatzacoalcos beauty.
As for how the lovers maintain their passionate relationship, the “Eternals” actress admits that the couple doesn’t have any secret recipe for happiness. According to the Hollywood superstar, “boredom is underestimated.”
“I didn’t understand this for a long time,” explained the 56-year-old. “Also, it helps us meet each other later in our lives. It’s okay to just do nothing and be together.”
The founder of production company Ventanarosa notes that sharing space with your significant other means going about your business while thinking of them. One should be in touch and considerate, doing simple things like offering your partner a cup of tea.

In 2009, they tied the knot in Paris, and the French businessman surprised his wife with a vow renewal ceremony nine years later in Bora Bora. Although Hayek officially changed his name to “Hayek Pinault,” the moniker did not remain in the entertainment industry.
So who is Pinault? The 60-year-old comes from a luxury fashion empire, created by his father. Today, Kering owns famous brands such as Gucci, Saint Laurent, Balenciaga, Bottega Veneta and Alexander McQueen.
The husband of the “Grownups” star became the foundation’s CEO at the age of 40. However, the father of four built his own legacy as the owner of Artemis SA, a holding company. Through his organization, the French native owns the French football team, Stade Rennais FC
