According to the latest figures released by the interior ministry, at least 2,012 people died and 2,059 were injured in the earthquake that struck Morocco on Friday night. Many homes were destroyed by the 6.8-magnitude earthquake, which was the strongest to strike near the High Atlas mountains in more than a century, according to the US Geological Survey.
