Salome Roy Kapur was born ‘Solome Aaron’ in November 1951 (age 68 years; as in 2019) in India. She has been practicing dancing since the age of five. In western dance, she is trained in ballroom dancing, various types of Latin American dance, Tap Dance, Spanish dance, and folk dance; and in Indian dance forms, she is a trained Bharatanatyam, Kathak, and Kathakali dancer.

He belongs to the Bene Israel community. Her parents, Sam Aaron and Ruby Aaron are both dancers. They were the first certified dancers in India and are known to have brought Samba to India in the 1940s. He has an older brother named Edwin. She is married to Kumud Roy Kapoor, a former Army Officer.

Career
She started her career as a model in 1968. At the age of 12, she acted in a Cadbury commercial with her brother. The following year, she appeared in an ad for Apsara sarees. She walked the ramp at many events, where she once showed off her dancing skills while walking down the street. In 1971, she won a beauty contest in Spain. In 1972, she won the title of Miss India.

She has also done modeling for brands like ITC Wills, Godrej, Cadbury, Tata, Century Mills, Calico, TBZ, Taj Mahal Tea and many textile companies. He made his acting debut with the film, Tu Hi Meri Zindagi (1965).

He has also acted in the films Ek Bechara (1972) and Black (2005). However, because of his passion for dancing, he chose to become a choreographer. He was the choreographer behind the famous song “Main Shayar To Nahin” from the movie “Bobby” (1973). She conducts dance and grooming workshops in various schools and has her own dance academy.

- At the age of seven, she began touring the country with her brother and began her modeling journey.
- Reportedly, she met her husband for the first time in a bar when he was an army officer with his posting in Kashmir.
- For a long time, he has been the drama director at GD Somani Memorial School, the school where his children study.
- In 2018, he choreographed the song ‘Baylamos’ by Sarah Aroeste, a Judaeo-Spanish musician based in Manhattan.
