Actor Sam Agshari has spoken out after his wife, singer Britney Spears, was reportedly attacked by members of Victor Wembanyama’s security forces.
The 41-year-old pop star reportedly approached the NBA star from behind and tapped him on the back to ask for a photo. The Director of Team Security for the San Antonio Spurs allegedly slapped the singer, who fell to the ground. A police report has been filed and law enforcement officials are now treating this as a criminal case.

“I am against violence of any kind, especially without justification in defense of oneself or others who cannot defend themselves,” Sam began. “Self-defense is inevitable, but the womanhood of any woman, especially my wife, cannot be disputed. I consider my reaction weak considering what happened, and I hope the man learns a lesson and changes his disregard for women. Thank you for the support.”
He followed it up with a second slide, which read, “The violent behavior of an out-of-control security guard should not overshadow the achievements of a great young man on the rise @wemby,” he continued. “The blame should fall on the cowards who did this, the people who hired them without proper vetting, and the systemic culture that ignores women in sports and entertainment.”

“I can’t imagine a scenario where an unarmed female fan showing any kind of excitement or appreciation for a celebrity would result in her being physically attacked, let alone punched in the face for patting someone on the shoulder,” he added. “Necessary change has to come for the summit, and I look forward to that change.”
Currently, the pop star has yet to publicly comment on the matter on her Instagram page. The extent of his injuries were not known at the time, although a witness claimed he hid his face with a hat as he left the area.

A Canadian man named Brian Grajales spoke to TMZ on Thursday evening to give his version of events. He claims that Victor was walking towards the restaurant with his entourage when Britney tried to “infiltrate” his circle. He said that he kept saying “I’m sorry, sir… I’m sorry, sir,” in an English accent.
Brian stated that the security guard, who has been identified as Damian Smith at the police deposition, gave him a “slap in the face.” Although initial reports said that Britney was hit hard enough that she fell, Brian wasn’t sure if she actually fell to the ground, but admitted that the singer was “hunched over”. He also agreed with reports that the glasses had been removed from Britney’s face.
Law enforcement officials originally told TMZ that the security guard had hit the back of Britney’s hand, and as a result, she accidentally ended up hitting her own face. However, Brian disputed this claim. He said that he not only saw the physical blows, but he could also hear them.

Victor said no one in the area seemed to recognize the pop star at the time. She said that Victor left with his entourage and didn’t check to see if the pop star was okay. He said several people had stayed behind either to see if he was okay, or to subdue him if he tried to approach him again.
According to Brian, the singer shouted “This is f—ing America,” still in a British accent, after the incident happened. Britney was reported to be with her husband, Sam Asghari, and two other individuals when the incident occurred around 8:30pm on Wednesday at the Catch restaurant at the ARIA Hotel. It is unclear where Sam and the rest of his party were at the time the blow was reported to have taken place.
