On Wednesday night, Sam Asghari took to his Instagram Stories to answer a question that has long been asked by fans of his wife, singer Britney Spears.
Although the two got married in June, fans noticed that the “Hold Me Closer” singer was rarely spotted in public. Instead, he often shares photos and videos taken from his living room, leading many to wonder if he is really “free” as he claims.
However, the Iranian actress claimed that it was Britney’s choice how she chose to use social media and her decision not to attend red carpet events with her, as she found it “not fun.”

The “Hot Seat” actress began her lengthy Instagram statement by writing, “Social media can be traumatizing. Sometimes it’s good to take a break. She has her voice and is a free woman. I respect her privacy and I protect her at all times. Thank you all his patron fans.”
“Out of respect for her privacy, I don’t post it 24/7,” he added. “I ask permission if I do.” However, this is not entirely true. A fan recently called out the former fitness trainer for going on Instagram Live without informing his wife that he was doing so. It prompted Britney to give a confusingly repeated response of “I’m always Live” before she then added, “I don’t want to talk to them” and Sam quickly turned off Live.

“For my job, I have to attend a lot of events,” he continued. “It would be my honor if he joined. For him, it was not fun. them [hectic] and stressful. [Specially], because he has been doing this since he was 8 years old. Plus he’s killed everyone he’s ever gone to.”

“I always respect and support his privacy with everything I have,” he continued. “I ask you supportive and protective fans to do the same. Sometimes, being overprotective can cause more stress and damage.”
Sam posted the message in a series of slides to his Instagram Story so fans couldn’t comment on it. He also turned off comments on a video he posted on Friday showing him preparing the living room for Britney’s 41st birthday.

Immediately after news of Sam Asghari’s Instagram Story began to spread, the “Stronger” singer posted a photo of a woman looking behind her using a compact mirror. In the caption, Britney wrote, “Who’s talking behind my back ??? ??? Jesus Christ … I think I’m afraid to turn back !!! GOD I LOVE YOU ALL!!!”
Britney deleted her Instagram account yesterday, but it was back up and running on Thursday morning. One user commented, “No one is talking behind your back? We all care about you. Your account just disappeared with no explanation and now all of a sudden you’re back?”
