Singer Britney Spears and her husband Sam Asghari are trying to set the record straight about what really happened Friday night at a JOEY’s restaurant in Woodland Hills.
Over the weekend, a rare video of Britney sitting in public was released online. The video was taken by a customer and appears to show the 41-year-old pop star sitting alone at a restaurant table on Friday night.
Witnesses said Sam “stormed out” after Britney started acting “manic” and talking “bullshit” but the couple, who married in June 2022, paint a completely different picture of how things went.

Over the weekend, a pap caught up with Sam and asked him about Britney’s alleged “exhaustion” at a restaurant. For his part, Sam has already answered some of the allegations. On Saturday night, hours after the video appeared online, the “Hot Seat” actress opened her Instagram Story, simply writing, “Don’t believe what you read people online.”
On Sunday, TMZ shared a video clip showing the pap meeting Sam and asking him, “How are you and Britney? The other night we saw a video from a restaurant. Like how… what happened? Can you elaborate a little?”

“People are excited to see my wife. So everyone is filming. Everyone does their thing,” answered Sam. “But you know how it is, uh, fame comes with the territory and I went to get that car to get out of there and people just thought I was going to leave but that didn’t happen. So that’s how it is, man.”
“Is he just frustrated because everywhere he goes, someone has a camera and-” the reporter asked, to which Sam replied, “It’s frustrating. Of course.”
“So, it’s like he feels disrespected,” the pap added.

“Yeah, you know, when you sit down to eat and people pull out their cameras and start filming you, it’s disrespectful, but you know what? Fame, it just comes with the territory and that’s it,” Sam said as he walked away.
For his part, the “Toxic” singer also took to Instagram on Sunday night to claim that he was “drunk” and people treated him like “Shrek” at the restaurant.

In a lengthy post on Sunday night, the “Slumber Party” singer took to Instagram to share an illustration of a girl pouring syrup on a plate of pancakes. In the caption, Britney wrote, “I watched ‘NATURAL BORN KILLERS’ this morning and d*mn I had an ENLIGHTENMENT … and HOLY SMOKES SH*T BALLS I’m sure I brought a billion SMILES to me LOOKING LIKE SHREK in a restaurant. “
“Even my best friends couldn’t wait to send it to me, they didn’t think twice because we are all natural killers,” he continued. “I know this news is hyped about me getting drunk in a restaurant… it’s like they’re going to WATCH MY EVERY MOVE ? !!!”

Fans were a bit worried Britney said that her “best friend” couldn’t wait to send the article, but she didn’t name names, so fans can only guess who she’s talking about. Britney has been removing comments on all her Instagram posts for the past few weeks, which has caused her fans to become more concerned about the pop star.
