On Wednesday evening, the 29-year-old actress was asked by paparazzi how she felt about her ex’s new book. “I’m so proud of him, and I hope he takes over the world,” she said, per Page Six. When asked about the part where he called it a “gift from God,” Sam added, “That makes me smile, to be honest.”
Since the memoir was written before the divorce, the “Toxic” singer wrote some complimentary things about the actor, writing, “I appreciate how stable he is. I love that he doesn’t even drink.” The former couple met on the set of the “Slumber Party” music video in 2016. In her memoir, Britney said she was “immediately smitten” with him. “I knew I wanted him in my life right away,” she added. “We had chemistry at the beginning it was crazy. We couldn’t keep our hands off each other.”
Sam popped the question in September 2021, two months before his 13-year conservatorship ended. The two tied the knot in June 2022, but Sam filed for divorce in August 2023, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split. Sources tell Page Six that the “Family Business” actress will not make any money from Britney’s memoir, which has already become the best-selling celebrity memoir of all time.
Britney Reportedly Looking Forward to a ‘New Chapter’ Amid Sam Asghari’s Divorce

Two weeks after the divorce, several different sources spoke to Us Weekly about the split. A source told the outlet: “This is a new chapter for Britney in more ways than one” and stressed that the pop star is “focusing on herself” amid the split. “She finally got to a positive place, and then Sam filed for divorce. People were worried about how this was going to affect him,” the source shared.
“Some people think that Britney is in a dangerous downward spiral and what she’s going through [doing] did little to assuage those concerns,” added the second source. “Concern for Britney’s welfare is now out of control.”

Another source claims that, despite the divorce, Britney’s relationship with her family – especially her father, Jamie Spears – is still strained. “Britney has no intention of reconciling with her father,” said a third source. The first source added, “Jamie was the last person she ever saw. He will most likely never be a part of her life again.”
They also said that Britney has been spending a lot of time with her longtime friend and manager, Cade Hudson, calling him “probably her closest confidant right now.”

A second source said that Britney “felt manipulated and betrayed by Sam” and confirmed previous reports that she pays for his apartment in Los Angeles, which costs $10,000 a month. “He’s paying her until they settle everything in court,” the source claimed, insinuating that Sam intends to fight the existing prenup.
“People around Britney have felt for the last two to three years that Sam has an ulterior motive,” a source said, while another insider mentioned that Sam “hopes things get resolved quickly.” They added, “He doesn’t want to play hardball with Britney, but if he has to, he will.”

As for cheating claims that Sam ended the marriage when Britney was unfaithful, a source remains adamant that Britney didn’t cheat, saying, “It was just Sam’s way of getting out of the marriage. There is always a plan of action for the future.” However, a fourth source said that Britney “stepped out” on Sam twice, including with Paul Richard Soliz, an employee with a criminal background who was fired.
“He was fired when Britney’s team found out they were sleeping together, but then he got back into the picture,” the source said, adding that Sam found out about the alleged infidelity through security camera footage.
