Actor Sam Asghari isn’t trying to hide from the paparazzi amid his public divorce from Britney Spears.
The two began dating in 2016 and got engaged in 2021, just weeks before a judge revoked their 13-year conservatorship. The two tied the knot in a star-studded ceremony in June 2022, but reports of trouble started immediately. On August 16, the “Special Ops: Lioness” actress filed for divorce, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split.

On Monday, the 29-year-old actor was seen taking his dog for a walk amid his divorce from the Pop Princess, according to TMZ. It’s the first time she’s been seen in public since she filed for divorce last Wednesday, although the actress listed a separation date of July 28, 2023, in the divorce filing, implying the split was temporary.
The actor was seen taking his Doberman companion, Porsha, for a walk. Sam gave Britney the dog as a gift in October 2021, just a month after he popped the question with a ring designed by jeweler Roman Malayev. Sam was reportedly given the ring for free to generate publicity for the brand.
Sam took to social media to share the gift with fans. “My fiancé was surprised [sic] with our newest member of the Family. Porsha,” he wrote in the caption of the Instagram video at the time.
“Her name is Porsha and she means to love you unconditionally,” Sam said, adding that the dog will be “trained to protect you from any mother who comes around you with bad intentions.”

In addition to Porsha, Britney also adopted a blue-eyed Australian Shepherd puppy named Sawyer in February 2022, a few months before the couple tied the knot. He adopted the puppy in Maui, admitting that he fell in love with it immediately.

“I found him in Maui like a dream and took him home with me immediately. It’s funny … he doesn’t talk back but it’s like he understands what I’m saying!!!” Britney wrote at the time. “I think he understands me, especially with those eyes…he makes my heart melt…he needs me and I love that!!!”
On Friday, a source told the Daily Mail that the pop star was worried Sam would try to take custody of the two dogs in the divorce. “About [Britney and Sam’s shared] property, the hardest part of dividing any asset is their two dogs,” the source explained. “But Sam gave Porsha to Britney as a gift and she was the one who wanted to adopt Sawyer when they were in Maui.”
However, it seems that she is not interested in keeping the engagement ring. “Sam can have the ring. It’s independent of the jeweler and he doesn’t want it anymore,” the source added. “He has enough diamonds.”

On Wednesday night, shortly after news of the divorce broke, a source told Page Six that the 29-year-old actress was reportedly “trying to negotiate a concession out of her prenup and threatening to go public with very embarrassing information about Britney unless she got paid.”
However, on Thursday night, the actor’s representative, Brandon Cohen, told The Hollywood Reporter that the actor had no intention of challenging the prenup. “There have been numerous allegations that Sam challenged the prenup and threatened to exploit his ex-wife with videos,” his rep told THR. “However, all these allegations are false, as no negative intentions have ever been directed at him and will never happen. Sam has always and will always support him.”
