It looks like Sam Asghari may have lost a lot of cash after divorcing Britney Spears just fourteen months after their wedding.
The former couple began dating after meeting on the set of the “Slumber Party” music video in 2016. The two got engaged in September 2021, just before her conservatorship ended in November 2021. The two tied the knot in June 2022, but by March 2023, they have been photographed without their wedding rings.
According to court documents obtained by The Blast, the “Special Ops: Lioness” actress filed for divorce on August 16, but listed their separation date as July 28, 2023. She cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their split and demanded spousal support and attorney fees in filing.
Even so, it looks like he lost millions out of his marriage to the Pop Princess, according to the fine print of their prenuptial agreement.

According to the document, the amount is capped at $10 million after fifteen years. However, Sam called it quits after just fourteen months. Since they didn’t make it for two years, it seems that Sam is doubtful that he will receive the money.

The outlet also reported that the former personal trainer waived any rights to Britney’s extensive music catalog in the prenup. His name is also reportedly not listed on the couple’s shared home in Thousand Oaks, California, although TMZ was the first to report that Sam had moved out amid allegations that Britney had cheated on him with an employee at the home.
On Friday, TMZ followed up with reports that Sam will get “no pay” from the divorce and that the prenup barred him from getting spousal support. He’ll get to keep any gifts Britney gave him, and his impressive car collection, but it looks like that’s all he’ll get out of the divorce.

Of course, it remains to be seen if Sam will challenge the prenup in court. In the divorce filing, the actress, represented by attorney Neal Hersh, appears set to challenge the prenuptial agreement drawn up by family law attorneys hired by Britney’s longtime attorney, Mathew Rosengart.
According to court documents obtained by The Blast, the actor “has not yet determined the nature and full extent of the separate property assets and liabilities of each party.” It went on to say, “There are various items of community and semi-community assets and debts, the nature and full extent of which are unknown [Sam] at this time.”

A source also told TMZ on Friday that there was an “extensive confidentiality clause” in the prenup that prohibited Sam from discussing his relationship with the pop star. They also stated that Britney might be willing to settle and write him a check just for her own “peace of mind” to ensure that she won’t talk about anything she doesn’t want to make public.
It contrasts with earlier reports that Sam was looking to “negotiate” prenuptials in hopes of a big settlement. On Wednesday night, a source told Page Six that the 29-year-old actress was reportedly “trying to negotiate concessions outside of her prenup and threatening to reveal very embarrassing information about Britney unless she was paid.”

However, a separate source confirmed to Page Six that “Britney and Sam signed a prenup in her favor,” adding, “Any money she makes before the wedding is protected.” The outlet later confirmed that Britney had hired high-powered divorce attorney Laura Wasser to represent her amid the split.
On Thursday afternoon, the actress took to her Instagram Stories to address the divorce. “After 6 years of love and commitment to each other my wife and I have decided to end our journey together,” he wrote. “We will hold on to the love and respect we have for each other and I wish him the best. Not happening. Asking for privacy apparently [ridiculous] so I would just ask everyone including the media to be kind and considerate.”
