Career
Samarpan Lama started dancing in 2020 without enrolling in any professional courses or instructor assistance. Instead, he chose to learn from international dancers on YouTube and imitate their moves. After that, he showcased his skills by performing to popular songs and sharing his videos on various social media platforms, including TikTok and Instagram. This platform helped him gain recognition and establish himself as a dancer.
In 2021, she auditioned for Nepali TV channel OSR Reality for their reality TV show ‘Dance Competition’ but she was rejected in the first round. Later, he moved from Pune to Mumbai after taking a gap from his formal education.

India’s Best Dancer Season 3
In early 2023, Samarpan auditioned for SonyLIV’s reality TV show ‘India’s Best Dancer’ however, he was rejected in the digital round. Later, he got a call from the selection committee who wanted to see his performance live so he went there and after performing on stage he was selected for the next round of the show.

Samarpan continued to perform well and because of that, he earned the title of ‘Contemporary King’ from the show’s judge, Terence Lewis. There was a fan moment in her life when Remo D’Souza gifted her a pair of shoes as a tribute to her dancing talent. He also got a necklace from Terence Lee, and Geeta Kapur, the show’s judge, put a black dot on his leg to save him from the evil eye.

On September 30, 2023, the grand finale, Lama was declared the winner of season 3 of the show. The final episode features Govinda, one of Bollywood’s most prolific dancers. Tiger Shroff and Kriti Sanon also appeared to promote their film Ganapath. Samarpan choreographer is Pooja Khanduja who won an amount of Rs. 5 lakh while Samarpan Lama won a sum of Rs. 15 Lakh.

When asked about how he will use the prize money of Rs. 15 Lakh, he replied that he would give half of that amount to his parents and also buy a bike for his father. He has spent little time with his father as he has been working abroad for the past 17 years and visits the family once in 2-3 years. By providing financial support, Lama hoped that his father would return to India and reunite with the family. He truly believed that he was now able to provide for his family.
