A San Antonio man allegedly slit a woman’s throat and “left her to die rolled in plastic” in a Texas field while still wearing an ankle monitor Friday, the sheriff’s office said.
Roger Gonzalez, 31, was arrested at his San Antonio home a day after he allegedly beat and stabbed a victim during a brutal attack Friday afternoon, according to the Atascosa County Sheriff’s Office.
“He was left for dead rolled in plastic in a field,” the sheriff’s office said.

The woman was fortunately found alive on the side of the road a few hours later by authorities. He is listed in serious, but stable condition.
Gonzalez was allegedly wearing an ankle monitor during the disturbing attack, the Atascosa sheriff’s office said.
He was charged with first-degree aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, a first-degree felony. His bail was raised from $40,000 to $275,000 by a justice of the peace.
He remains in the county jail in lieu of bond, authorities said.
