Bryan Randall is fighting a quiet but difficult battle with ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis), also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease. It is an incurable disease of the nervous system that weakens muscles and affects physical function and can be managed by medication and physical therapy to a certain extent. Sadly, Randall lost his battle with ALS, aged just 57 and his family shared a statement with People Magazine.

“It is with great sadness that we share that on August 5th, Bryan Randall passed away peacefully after a three-year battle with ALS. Bryan chose early on to keep his journey with ALS private and those of us who care for him are doing our best to honor his wishes.”

His family also expressed their gratitude for the medical care he received, writing, “We are so grateful to the tireless doctors who navigated this disease landscape with us and to the amazing nurses who became our roommates, often sacrificing their families himself to be with us.

For Sandra Bullock, Bryan Randall Is “The Love Of Her Life”

Bullock has an obvious dating history, considering she went out with the likes of Ryan Gosling and Matthew McConaughey before marrying West Coast Choppers founder Jesse James. The marriage ended in 2010 after James was accused of having affairs with several women.

The “Speed” actress first met model-turned-photographer Bryan Randall when she photographed her son Louis’ birthday in January 2015. Sparks flew and the two began dating, cementing their relationship by going public in The same. They’ve been together ever since, and Bullock admitted that she’s the ONE for him, during an appearance on “Red Table Talk” with Jada Pinkett Smith, her mother, Adrienne Banfield-Norris, and daughter, Willow Smith.

Said the usually quiet actor, “I found the love of my life. We share two beautiful children— three children, [Randall’s] older daughter. It was the best thing ever.” Bullock is mother to son Louis, 13, and daughter Laila, 11, whom she adopted in 2010 and 2015 respectively.

Bullock also continued to say that although she did not feel that other women should also follow what she did, personally, “I don’t need papers to be a faithful wife and a devoted mother. I don’t need to be told to be present in the most difficult times. I don’t need to be told to weather the storm with a good man.”

Lately, several media outlets have reported that Randall and Bullock’s relationship is going strong and that they are going through a “quiet period”. While the truth about their relationship is their own, Bullock’s sister Gesine Bullock-Prada has only good things to say about it. Calling ALS a cruel disease, Gesine felt that there was “comfort in knowing she had the best caregiver in my wonderful sister and the group of nurses she assembled who helped her care for her in their home.”

Fans certainly sympathized with Bullock considering she had just lost the man she loved. Bullock also felt Randall set an amazing example for their children, adding, “He’s the example I want my children to have. I have a partner who is very Christian and there are two different ways of looking at things. I don’t always agree with him, and he doesn’t always agree with me. But he is an example even if I don’t agree with him. I’m stubborn but sometimes I have to sit and listen and say, ‘You say it differently but we mean the same thing.'” She also admitted that “it’s hard to co-parent because I just want to do it myself.”

Fans and friends alike sent their condolences, loving the whole family, but especially Sandra who seemed to be grieving, in private. RIP Brian Randall…
