Sandra Bullock ‘Slowly Learning To Manage Her Grief’ After Death Of Her Partner Of 8 Years

Hollywood star Sandra Bullock is reportedly going through a difficult process to manage her grief following the death of her longtime partner, Bryan Randall, after a long battle with ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis).

The actress had previously stepped back from the public eye to “be present and take responsibility for one thing,” which, as it reportedly turned out, was because she chose to be Randall’s guardian.

Bullock lost her boyfriend, Randall, to ALS in August after a long battle with the nervous system disorder. The source stated that the actress was devastated by the loss but actively cared for others that she “wasn’t in self-care mode and her heart was broken.”

Speaking about Bullock’s priority being her kids right now, the insider said, “She’s fighting to stay strong and take part for her kids,” adding that the years leading up to her boyfriend’s death were “very stressful and heartbreaking for her” and she hasn’t “processed everything” yet but is “slowly learning to manage her grief”.

The Oscar-winning actress also has a strong support system of family and friends to lean on and now leans on her late partner’s popular saying for strength, which is “Breathe and take one day at a time.”

“But he cherishes every moment he has with his kids and knows that he needs to move forward and live his own life to the fullest for them. That’s what Bryan wants for all of them,” the source added.

In the months leading up to Randall’s battle with ALS, Bullock announced that she was cutting back on acting “to be present and responsible for one thing.”

“I want to be at home. I’m not doing anyone investing in the project any favors if I say, ‘I just want to be home,'” Bullock said CBS in March 2022. “Because I’m always running, I’m always running to the next thing. I just want to show up and be responsible for one thing.”

However, an inside source told Page Six that she decided to take care of her sick boyfriend at the time. “I don’t think people know that Sandra actually left to take care of Bryan,” the source shared, adding, “I’m upset about it.”
