She started her career in Bollywood with a small role in the film Maa Kasam in 1999. Later, she appeared in many Marathi, Bhojpuri and Telugu films. In 2005, she appeared as Sapna in the Bhojpuri film Raja Bhojpuriya. She played the role of Sakshi in the Marathi film Sangharsh (2014). Later, he appeared in the Telugu film, Shubham, as well.

In 2008, Sangeeta started her television career with Zee TV’s popular serial Chotti Bahu where she appeared as Virat Purohit’s Mohini. She played the role of Sumitra in Imagine TV’s Ramayan in 2008.
