Sangeeta Phogat was born on Thursday, 5 March 1998 (age 22 years; in 2020) in Balali, Haryana. His zodiac sign is Pisces. Born in a family of wrestlers, Sangeeta, developed a deep interest in wrestling at a very young age. He received formal training in wrestling from his father, Mahavir Singh Phogat, along with his siblings, Geeta, Babita, and Ritu.

He competed in the 59 kg freestyle category. He started his career with the Pro Wrestling League where he represented the Delhi Sultans. She fought against UP Dangal’s Vanesa Kaladzinskaya (who is the reigning world champion and senior to Sangeeta) and defeated her 7-4 in the competition. Although the Asian Games campaign was a disappointment for Sangeeta, she learned a lot from the event.
