Birth & Early Life
Sanjay was born on September 24, 1988 in Gujarat. He has completed his schooling from St. Joseph Convent School. Later, Sanjay went to Pune’s Sinhgad Institute to pursue his Bachelors in Business Administration. Sanjay is an average student in his studies but very active in extracurricular activities. He used to participate in several drama and dance competitions which made him popular in his college. Discovering his talent, his friends encouraged him to try acting.

Career
After struggling for several years, Sanjay finally got his first exposure with the TV series Bairi Piya in 2010. In 2012, Sanjay made his Bollywood debut with the film Rakhtbeej followed by the Kareena Kapoor starrer Heroine.
Sanjay grabbed headlines for appearing as the negative lead, Prithvi Malhotra, in the daily soap opera Kundali Bhagya. This show made him a huge star and finally brought him all the fame he deserved. The show revolves around the lives of Karan and Preeta and how they both come face to face with Sherlyn, Prithvi and Mahira, a trio who become a thorn in their side.

After dating for 10 years, Sanjay finally tied the knot with his girlfriend Poonam Preet Bhatia on November 28, 2021. The couple wanted their wedding to be grand and waited almost two years for the pandemic phase to pass.
