In the second episode of her recently launched podcast venture, the “Tea Talks with the Duchess & Sarah” podcast, the mother of two opened up about her grandson Ernest George Ronnie. Speaking to co-host Sarah Thomson, the 63-year-old gushed about the adorable newborn.

After his friend offered his congratulations and best wishes, the media personality responded with a tribute. “He is a very, very seriously beautiful little boy. Now, of course, everyone says that, but, of course, he is,” said the Londoner.
“Love Grandma, love GG. And beautiful grandparents. GG, I’m GG,” the Children in Crisis founder continued, sharing her new name as a grandmother. Although he didn’t pick a favorite, the latest addition to his family holds a special place in the Global Humanitarian Award recipient’s heart.
According to the royal, he was touched by the intention behind the newborn’s name. “His name is Ernest George Ronnie. He’s Ernest because George III’s middle name is Ernest and because it’s awesome. It will be good in Spain when we come to the villa. Ernesto,” declared the 63-year-old man.
Explaining the origins of her second daughter’s latest baby, the author of “Her Heart for a Compass” continued: “And then George after Jack’s father and Ronald — Ronnie — after my father, who was touched [sic].”
The Teenage Cancer Trust patron continued, “When Jack and Eugenie told me it was so moving that they put my dad there. It was very good, I thought, and of course it made me cry.” Additionally, the Duchess of York revealed her daughter had given her permission to talk about Ernest publicly.
“He said I was allowed to say. Oh, I have to be careful. I am very proud; I can’t just take pictures willy-nilly. Grandma rules, oh my god!” the author of “A Most Intriguing Lady” explains.

Princess Eugenie and her lover’s decision to honor their late family members comes years after their deaths. Her grandfather, Ronald Ferguson, breathed his last in 2003. Meanwhile, her husband’s father, George Brooksbank, died shortly before witnessing his first grandchild’s August royal christening in November 2021.
Ernest also marks Queen Elizabeth’s first great-grandchild to be born after the monarch dies in 2022. With his birth, Princess Eugenie’s second child joins the line of succession to the British throne at number thirteen, while her brother August is number twelve. .

Days before giving her mother the green light to talk about her child, Princess Eugenie, she blessed her followers with the first photo of the newborn on Instagram. The royal took to social media to announce the arrival of the child along with his unique name.
The Londoner shared two pictures of Ernest, the first of which captures the cute boy sleeping comfortably in a cot. The newest members of the famous clan are all bundled up in blue knit hats while their bodies are covered in white scarves.
“Jack and I wanted to share the news that we had our little boy, Ernest George Ronnie Brooksbank, on May 30, 2023 at 8.49 weighing 7.1 pounds,” the mother of two announced in her caption.

“He was named after my Datuk George, Datuk George, and Datuk Ronald,” continued the 33-year-old, adding that his eldest son happily accepted his duties as a big brother.
“Augie has loved being a big brother,” revealed the RNOH Charity patron, ending his caption with a string of heart emojis. As he mentioned in his message, his eldest son looks like a doting brother, gently patting Ernest’s head in the second picture.
