Sasha Farber, 37, has competed on “Dancing With the Stars” since Season 5 when she was paired with Jennie Garth. Having been a part of the show for years, the Russian-born dancer has a pretty good idea of who the most “scary” judge is — and it’s not Len Goodman
“The scariest judge is Derek [Hough],” the 38-year-old professional dancer told Us Weekly. “You never know what he’s thinking. He always got this stone cold look and then [his score] could be, like, really bad. [Or] then he was like, ‘That’s great.'”
Derek Hough appeared on 17 seasons of “Dancing With the Stars” before his last dance in 2016. He then took a four-year break to become a judge on NBC’s “World of Dance.” The 37-year-old returned to “Dancing With the Stars” when he was asked to be judge Len Goodman because he was unable to travel to Los Angeles during the coronavirus outbreak.
Fans loved Hough so much as a judge that the reality competition show asked her to return as a regular.

Sasha Farber is competing on this season of “Dancing With the Stars” with partner Selma Blair, but she’s keeping an eye on her ex-wife, Emma Slater, and her partner, Trevor Donovan.
“There are definitely a lot of dark horses, and Trevor came into this competition afraid of dancing,” Farber told Us Weekly. “That’s, like, the main thing you’re not going to do if you’re afraid to dance, is do a dance performance. And he’s firing on all cylinders. He did phenomenal. … The best dancer doesn’t always win. It’s a race, and it’s long. It’s a marathon. So, I think everyone has their own advantages and disadvantages.”
