The reality star chatted with her soon-to-be sister-in-law Emmy Medders on her podcast, “Unlocked” where she shared that her life will stop moving forward once her parents report to prison.

The “Chrisley Knows Best” alum claims she “couldn’t have gone on” without her parents Todd and Julie Christley. “In my mind, I was like, ‘I can’t go on with my life until I know that they’re going to be there, I can’t get married. I can’t have children,’” the 25-year-old claimed.

Todd and Julie were sentenced to 19 years in prison in November after being found guilty of tax evasion and bank fraud.

The entrepreneur likened the passing of his parents to an important death. He explained that he was “grieving the loss of a living parent.” Medders encouraged Savannah not to think negatively. “You can’t just stop your life,” she reminded Savannah.

He also reminds her that “Your parents, our parents, don’t want us to do that, no matter what happens.” Savannah jumps in to tell the Medders that her father Todd said something similar.

“Dad was like, ‘I might not be here in front of you, but I’m still alive. I’m still fighting. You don’t have to live a day without talking to me.’”

The disgraced reality star and his wife are pretty confident that they can still do the things they want like call their kids every day. Not sure how it works but every day seems like a luxury. Or are we crazy?

Savannah’s brother, Chase, is also in his feelings about his parents’ punishment. Chase said it felt like his parents were “going through hell.” He joined Savannah on his podcast where he later said, “It’s a terrible, horrible situation but I have to try to find the good even in the darkest of times.”

Chase also shared that for him, the experience had opened his eyes to many things he had overlooked before. “I think everything we’ve been through has made me appreciate things that I didn’t appreciate in the past.”

Chase had to look at his life and had to do “a lot of reflecting and just thinking about who I am as a man.” This includes having to put other people’s opinions aside in order to move forward in life.

“I’ve come to the conclusion that I’m not going to worry about what other people think and say about me,” he further elaborated. “I have to make sure I’m good so I can be good for the Emmys. I need to make sure that my family is okay emotionally, and that I’m in a place emotionally where I can be there for the people I love.”
