Savannah Chrisley yearns for something special in her life amid the incarceration of her parents, Todd and Julie Chrisley and days after a much cherished Valentine’s Day.

The reality star has been an open book about her parents’ situation since they were convicted, and now she’s telling her fans how much she misses her father’s smile.

“Missing a little more of this smile today,” the TV personality wrote on the post, adding two distressed emojis showing how devastated she was feeling.

In the second Story update, she’s smiling with headphones on while holding a drink bottle under her chin. Fans could only see her upper body, wearing a colorful blouse with a colorful tie, and her hair was tucked into a black baseball cap.

Adding a text overlay to the image, Savannah thanked her with a heartfelt caption that read, “A little glimpse of happiness in the middle of the storm… grateful.” This comes after he opened up about being a trying place on his podcast, exactly a week after his parents were taken to jail.

In the Jan. 31 episode of “Unlocked with Savannah Chrisley,” which was taped seven days earlier, the heartbroken daughter touched on going through the hardest week of her life without her parents. Savannah admits that the situation was difficult to understand and while caring for the two children she also helped to process the trauma.

“On the 17th, that was the report date for my parents,” Savannah explained. “And never in a million years did I think about both of my parents, one of my parents, let alone both of them, going to federal prison.” He continued, “There were a lot of tears shed, a lot of anger, a lot of screaming, a lot of being really broken.”

Speaking of damage, her little brother, who she’s looking after, Grayson Chrisley, had one after her parents were locked up. The podcaster shared, “Gray has a breakdown, and he’s trying to process my parents and the situation they’re in and how that’s not the image he wants of them.”

He added that the 16-year-old had grown up “so much,” and it was sad that their parents missed out on that development. Todd and Julie are now serving a combined sentence of 19 years, with the former serving 12 years with 16 months of probation and the latter being given seven years with the same period of probation.

The pair maintain their innocence and intend to appeal to court later this month. Meanwhile, their daughter has to figure out how to rebuild her life and get there one step at a time. Recalling his visit to his parents in prison, he confessed that the experience calmed him and gave him hope, because he had never felt the presence of Jesus more than he did in the room.

Even so, he remains heartbroken, knowing he may not see his parents, whom he has known for 25 years, in the “free world” for a long time.

The 25-year-old became enraged at the end of last month, considering his father’s 12-year prison sentence was the same as that of a murderer. The podcast host expressed his frustration on the gram using the latest headlines about a killer who was jailed for 13 years for shooting and killing another man who was walking with his children.

Savannah, believing it was unfair, demanded an explanation, writing, “Hmmm…makes sense” before elaborating in the following video.

He couldn’t take the backlash he got from his first post when he said, “Something I really wanted to talk about the last thing I posted, I got a response saying he pleaded guilty.” “Chrisley Knows Best” believes such a confession does not warrant a murderer a commuted sentence, later leading him to declare, “We live in a world where money means more than human life.”
