Savannah Chrisley Warned Brother Chase About His Ex-fiancee, Says She ‘Yelled’ At Her

Savannah Chrisley spoke candidly about her brother Chase’s broken relationship with his ex-fiancée Emmy Medders, and her relationship, or lack thereof, with Medders.

Chase and Medders got engaged in October 2022 but unfortunately called it off in July, much to the surprise of Savannah, who had warned her sister about her ex.

Speaking on the matter in a recent episode of his podcast, he revealed the troubling actions Medders had taken earlier in their relationship, contributing to his deductions about himself.

Savannah couldn’t help herself from telling Chase, “I told you not to get engaged” on the Sept. 5 episode of the podcast “Opening up with Savannah Chrisley.” However, her brother believed her presence at the engagement was “bad juju”, implying her and Medders’ breakup was his fault.

The 26-year-old internet personality wasn’t having it, repeating, “Hey, it’s telling you not to get engaged. It’s too soon – don’t do it, and you do it.”

Chase later admitted that the relationship taught him “a lot of lessons,” though it wasn’t always bad. He also stated that they both dealt with things and decided to separate. This causes Savannah to say, “Honestly, I think even though you’re over the top right now, like I think you’re doing good.”

The 27-year-old reality star agreed, crediting God for removing Medders from her life as “clearly not meant to be.”

“There was a lot of dirty dirt falling,” he said. “Sh-t that should have been handled differently; only the lack of respect is not there.” Savannah insists that the “lack of respect” is “on both sides,” prompting her brother to admit his mistake but claiming, “It’s safe to say he’s not who I thought he was.”

However, Chase admitted that he was “really acting out of character” by saying things he shouldn’t have while drunk. The couple’s split seems to have come as a relief to the Chrisley clan, especially Savannah, who declared, “I like you guys better than I like you together.”

He believes the “intention” was wrong from the start and shares why he has that opinion. “I gave him a chance at some point during the process,” the podcaster explained

Elaborating on the matter, the “Sharknado” star said, “At first, I tried to give him a chance, and then he likes to upset me, so I just said screw this. I don’t need another friend. I’ve got everything I need. But when he yelled at me on the phone, I was done. I was like, no, this is not happening. I don’t know who you think you’re dealing with, but you got the wrong person today.”

Although Savannah and Chase don’t think Medders is a “bad person,” the August-born TV star insisted that her brother chose his ex’s family over his own, including spending vacations with them, which he denied. He then explained that he was “totally in love,” and it messed him up; however, thanks to God, he was able to overcome the problem, learning “many valuable lessons.”

After news of Chase and Medder’s split broke in July, Chase opened up about the reasons behind the split a month later in his first interview. “Everything happens for a reason. God has a plan. And I think God heard the conversation that I didn’t hear,” he shared. “He saw things I didn’t see and set him on his way, and I couldn’t be more grateful.”

The on-screen personality then proved she was over her ex by announcing her return to the dating scene, saying, “I’m dating again, yeah. I’m already on a date. I’m ready to go!”

In July, Chase and his ex-fiancé scrubbed each other off their respective social media pages, sparking rumors about the state of their relationship. This led the “Chrisley Knows Best” alum to drop the news of her and Medders’ split on her Instagram Story on Tuesday, July 25.

“Everyone has been asking a lot of questions about Emmy and myself,” he wrote. “We both agreed to separate and continue our separate lives. Thank you for respecting our privacy.”

At that time, Chase and his siblings stopped following Medders, whom he had engaged to nine months earlier with a 3.5-carat oval diamond ring. He also failed to deal with their breakup publicly.
